Chapter 4 She is a Perfect Match For You!
Zachary did not speak, for his father had mentioned last time that unless he got married, he would not give him the power. In the old man's heart, the routine was that men should get married first and then start his own business.
Seeing his son in silence, Peter knew that he agreed and said with a smile," Go for blind dates tomorrow and you have three days to bring me a daughter-in-law."
Peter continued after a pause, "This afternoon, I will have the butler arrange three day's blind dates..."
"Don't bother." Zachary put down his chopsticks, saying, "I will get the executive power three days later."
After that, Zachary stood up and left the dining room.
"Well, well..." Peter smiled in satisfaction. His son said that he would get the executive power, which meant he would get a marriage certificate in three days. It seemed that he already had someone in his heart.
Watching Zachary walk to the gate, Peter told the butler, "Start preparing for the wedding."
"Yes, my master."
After driving away from the Harris, Zachary stared at the road ahead firmly, but the woman's face lingered in his mind.
"I'd rather marry the woman than marry a totally strange person. At least, I have a feeling for her body." He thought.
Two days later.
Lawrence, holding a stack of materials, knocked at the door and went into Zachary Harris's office.
"Mr. Harris, this is the information about the woman in the hotel that night." Lawrence said, putting the materials in his hand in front of Zachary.
Zachary did not speak, but took the materials and flipped them through for a while.
"Noreen Carter?" Zachary spoke out her name. A smile appeared in his eyes when he thought of her soft and tender body under his that night.
"Well, she has been living with her uncle's family and is now an employee of the Planning Department of Tender Company." Lawrence focused on the key points, thinking that the old man forced a marriage, and the boss made him investigate this woman. Would the woman be the boss's future wife?
After reading the materials, Zachary only remembered her name-Noreen.
"Go to her home and propose a marriage tonight." Zachary uttered these simple and powerful words with a cold look.
"..." Lawrence was panic for a second. "Actually I guessed it right?" He thought.
"What is wrong?" Zachary cast an unsatisfied glance at Lawrence.
"This special assistant has been a bit dumb recently. Should I dismiss him?" Zachary thought.
"No...I will do it immediately." Lawrence responded hastily and didn't dare to look into Zachary Harris's eyes. He nodded slightly and left the office.
As usual, Noreen was stuck in a crowded bus in the rush hour. She got off the bus at the stop near her uncle's home and walked back slowly.
She was no longer the outgoing girl. Her bright future was Beckeyned after she lost her virgin. What was the future like? She totally had no idea.
Carter's home was the first one among rows of houses located in the downtown.
In the living room, Zachary was sitting cross-legged on the middle sofa, with the obsequious Jared on the left and Perry and Sheila on the right. Lawrence stood nearby.
"Mr. Harris, look at my daughter Sheila . She is so clever and sensible. A perfect wife for you." Perry took her daughter Sheila Carter's hand flatteringly and said to Zachary who had proposed marriage. It must be her daughter.
"Yes, Sheila has never done any housework since she was a kid, and I don't allow her to go to work after graduation. She has always been treated well at home, and she is a perfect match for you." Jared echoed Perry Shaw's words.
Zachary did not speak, for he knew that Noreen hadn't gone back. He was waiting for her.
Not hearing any response from Zachary, Jared and Perry looked at each other with a bit of awkwardness.
Suddenly, Perry nudged Sheila with a wink, signaling Sheila to go close to Zachary.
Pretending to be a lady from a humble family, Sheila rose slowly and walked to Zachary.
