Chapter 8 I'll Sleep Tight and I Promise Not to Scratch You Again

Putting down the pants in her hand, Christine picked up the underwear made by black lace that the man took out for her, and put on the man's shirt casually. As soon as she lay on the quilt, she heard the phone ringing on the bedside table.

Beep, beep, beep.

[Frank, do you feel better now? Chris didn't mean to kill you. She is just into Martin. It was I who told my father to mention the shares today. Blame me if you want. I'm just afraid that she might give it to the Jones Family.]

Christine sneered as she read this. Glancing at the previous messages, she found that every message Gloria sent was trying to bring shame on her as well as care about Frank somehow.

If it wasn't for Frank who was firm enough, any man might have already changed their hearts and turned to love Gloria.

Christine had an evil smile at the corner of her lips. Her fingers flickered on the phone to reply to Gloria.

[He's taking a shower right now. He held me on the bed just now, so he should be in excellent health.]

Gloria, who was looking forward to talking to Franklin, picked up the phone as soon as she heard the message prompt. Then she saw the reply message at a glance. Her face flushed with anger, and she grabbed the phone and slammed it directly against the wall without reason.

"Christine Stock, you again! Why do you have to steal everything I like and I want to own!"

"I won't let you go that easy this time!"

She only had a chance to talk to Franklin thanks to Christine. So the taste as if she was stealing something tortured her badly.

While Christine, on the contrary, sent the message first, and then put Gloria on the blacklist directly.

She was quite upset. How could Franklin have Gloria's number on his phone? Although she trusted him, she still pouted out of jealousy.

Lying on the bed, Christine searched online about "how to make others quit? And I mean quitting for good".

There were lots of comments below her question. She glanced at them with interest. But in the end, she wasn't satisfied with any of the advice, so she gave up suddenly.

Franklin came out with only a bath towel around his waist, and then he saw Christine shaking her small head and her two straight and slender legs kicking the quilt. She was wearing his shirt, which had already fallen to her waist, barely revealing part of her skin...

"Oh."

The man's body tightened and he held back his desire, exhaling a sigh of breath.

"Christine, what are you looking at?"

"Ah!" Christine dropped his phone when she heard his low voice all of a sudden. Turning around, she happened to see the man putting his weight on her. She swallowed and kept backing away. Finally, she went straight to the corner of the wall and was trapped by the man in his arms.

Franklin's eyes flashed. He stretched his long arm to get his phone, took a glance at it, and put it back on the bedside table calmly.

"Did you do anything guilty? Otherwise, why are you still awake?"

Being stared at by him, Christine had a feeling that she was like his prey.

So she made up her mind. He was her husband anyway, so it didn't matter how many times they had slept together.

She got up her courage to hold his neck and gently rubbed his forehead, "I can't fall asleep without you."

"Humph."

Franklin raised his lips, his voice dull. He stretched his arm to stuff her into the quilt, while he uncovered the quilt by his side and slept beside her. Then he turned off the bedside lamp.

They were in silence.

His messy breath gradually turned slow and deep, but still sounded heavy.

She rolled over, looked at the man sleeping with his back to her inexplicably, and raised her hand to poke him in the back.

"Why are you turning your back to me?" she asked, her voice dull, as if she was somewhat dissatisfied.

Franklin didn't answer but frowned, grabbing her little hand and pressing it down.

"Sleep." He said coldly. His cold voice was low again, like sandpaper rolling off a grinding wheel.

Her body went numb as she heard his voice.

Christine didn't want her husband to share different dreams with her when they were sleeping together. So although it was a bit factitious, she still got closer to him and leaned against his back, holding his waist with her hands and feet and half of her body hanging on his like a koala.

"I will have nightmares if you don't hold me to sleep."

Franklin was speechless.

"Hubby, I'll be obedient and won't scratch you again. I promise."

There were several red nail prints on his back, all of which were left when she resisted his approach.

"..."

Christine didn't seem to hear the man grind his teeth, and continued to say, "You promised to sleep with me just now, and now your back is facing me, what does it mean?"

When Christine was sighing, Franklin turned over as she wanted and held her in his arms directly.

He held so hard as if he wanted to own her in his blood.

The moment Christine felt painful, she suddenly sensed the change of his body...

Huh... She seemed to know the reason...

Was it still possible that she may ask him to turn his back?

Franklin could never bear to see her looking at himself with her tearful eyes, so he pulled and forced her to lie on his chest, his voice husky, "Are you sure you still got the strength to sleep with me after what happened last night?"

Christine became obedient all of a sudden, staying still in his arms.

She was quite confident in his ability in bed.

But she couldn't fall asleep right now, so her hands put against his chest, stroking on the wound that she had stabbed, and her fingertips trembled.

Franklin's eyes were closed at this time, but her cautious caring made him a bit surprised. He had almost seen through her, but he also felt that he didn't understand her.

Christine could feel that the man stiffed. She knew that her attitude changed after rebirth made him feel unreliable and he was even defending her.

Franklin was her fiancé. Although he had never said that he loved her, he did everything he could do to protect her and love her all the time, but she hurt him again and again.

She was such a bitch to hurt the man who loved her deeply and even made him suffer all this time when he loved her.

So this time, she would take the initiative to love him.

Christine raised her head. She could see his flawless jaw from here.

"Do you think that I'm lying?"

Franklin didn't answer, but patted her on her back slightly, as if he was coaxing a child who couldn't fall asleep.

"I didn't realize that I love you because I was cheated by others. Now we are married, and I do find that I love you and I want to be a good wife of yours." Christine rubbed his chest, so well-behaved that made his heart soften, "I don't want you to be the only one who makes efforts in our relationship. I want to be close to you. Can you please trust me one more time?"

Such a poor request hit the man's heart, and the distress in his heart spread to the limbs.

They were in silence again.

Franklin didn't respond for a long time. Christine was in a rush to get closer to him, but he forced her harder and put his chin on her head.

"Mrs. Brook."

"...Hubby."

"You started this. So remember, if you dare to lie to me again, I'll definitely break your legs and you won't be able to get out of bed in this whole life!" He was restrained and his hoarse voice sounded above her head.

Christine was happy to hear that, but then he said fiercely to her, "However, if you don't want your waist broken tonight, then shut up and sleep. I don't want a wife who couldn't even bear several times of orgasms."

Christine didn't dare to refute him.

It was not because she was too weak, but because Franklin was too energetic!

That was something she couldn't control.

Christine knew that Franklin was on the edge to vent his desire, so she stayed still, lay on his arm, and fell asleep with his cool scent around her.

When her breath finally became regular, the man who had closed his eyes suddenly opened his eyes, like a wild beast in the dark night.

His sharp eyes fell on her defenseless face, and a strange feeling appeared.
