Chapter 5 Who's Being Hysterical?

"I'm, I'm sorry." Taylor's face turned redder and withdrew her hand like she suffered an electric shock.

She stood up hurriedly and almost fell due to tension as she tried. Subconsciously, she reached out to hold something to stabilize her body, but after seeing the man's leg less than three centimeters from her palm, she retracted her hand awkwardly.

Fortunately, this time she found her balance and didn't further embarrass herself.

Standing up straight, she quietly walked backward a few steps away from the man, ignoring the mess of the whip wrapped around her waist, and said with an awkward expression, "I really don't know this--"

"Tie her up," Daniel ordered faintly, his voice very cold.

"Hey?" Taylor was stunned as she saw the bodyguards in black who walked towards her.

When she regained her senses, she realized that the whip had wrapped herself tighter, and her hands were tied behind her back, which didn't seem merciful at all.

"What is this for?" She frowned and looked at the man in front of her, "If it is because I just accidentally— Ahem, ahem, I've already apologized. I didn't mean it. Besides, if you hadn't gone nuts and bound me with the whip, I wouldn't have fallen on your legs."

Hearing this, the bodyguards on the side all took a deep breath. Wow, the woman called their young master a nut, yet she was still alive right now! The last person who scolded their master seemed to have broken two legs, the one before him lost both hands, and the one before the two was worse. His eyes were poked blind, and his tongue cut.

So what would happen to this woman? Where would they start to part her?

Ah, actually, she looked pretty. What a pity!

Hearing the squeaking sound, Taylor glanced at the bodyguards curiously.

Why were they suddenly motivated, looking at her like a lamb to be slaughtered?

"You said I went nuts?" Daniel said solemnly, his voice low and hoarse, and his expression gloomy.

He tilted his head, leaning on the back of the sofa lazily and elegantly.

His slender eyes narrowed slightly, like a dormant beast who would pounce at you all of a sudden and snap your neck in one bite.

"Didn't you? I really don't know this man, but you insist that I know him." Taylor's eyes widened, and she suppressed the anxiety in her heart, trying to make her expression full of confidence.

Daniel didn't respond.

Bill, who stood beside Daniel, glanced at him, and said in a gentle voice, "But when you were asked to come in before, you didn't refute immediately."

"That's because I wanted to get rid of the wretched man behind me." Taylor thought for a while and said seriously.

"Since you used us, our suspicion is reasonable, isn't it?" Bill smiled gently and pushed the golden glasses on the bridge of his nose.

"... All right. Now I have explained and apologized. Also, even if I refuted before, would you believe me? I—" Taylor looked straight at him, with a slight coldness.

Bill suddenly raised his finger, placed it on his lips, and said to her, "hush."

Taylor froze for a moment but found that Daniel, who was sitting on the sofa, had already fallen asleep.

His breathing was long and calm, his eyes closed gently, and his eyebrows stretched.

...

What's happening here?

She turned her head to look at Bill in a daze, hoping that he could say something. That's when she saw the surprise in his eyes.

These bodyguards, who were practicing their skills while waiting for the command to break Taylor's arms and legs, were all stunned. What was the situation? Why did their young master fall asleep? And even fell asleep so relaxed?

Bill glanced at the bodyguard, raised his chin at the person lying on the ground, and ordered in silence, "Get him out of here. Be gentle."

The bodyguards retracted their gaze on Taylor's face immediately, and then they cautiously stepped forward, lifted the man, and left silently.

The room was so quiet that only Daniel's shallow breathing could be heard.

Walking behind Taylor, Bill unfastened the whip that bound her hands, then leaned slightly toward her and pointed at the doorway.

Taylor rubbed her aching wrist, eased her footsteps, and walked out.

Bill followed her soon and carefully closed the door, lowering his voice, "You can leave now."

Taylor was startled first, then she turned around and was about to leave without saying anything.

"Can you tell me your name?" Bill suddenly asked.

"Taylor Wood," Taylor replied lightly and then walked away quickly.

Taylor got in a taxi and wasn't relieved until she was finally a few blocks away from the Imperial Hotel. Sitting in the back seat, she looked at the city with dazzling neon lights outside the window.

She had many things to do after coming back home.

But a privileged person like Daniel would only cause her endless trouble.

However, she didn't expect that they would run into each other the first night she came back.

Fortunately, he didn't know who she was.

The vibration of the mobile phone pulled her back to the real world. Taking it out and seeing the message on the screen, she smiled unconsciously.

It was a WeChat message sent by her little girl, reminding her that there was only half an hour left for her to come back home before 10:30, the time she promised to come back every day; and if she couldn't make it, she could only sleep outside the door at night.

"Mister, please drive as fast as possible." She raised her head and looked in the rear-view mirror, speaking in a gentle voice.

Then she turned her head and continued to observe the familiar but also unfamiliar city outside the car window, wearing an indifferent expression.

Fifteen minutes later, Taylor walked into the apartment.

Katherine was sitting cross-legged on the sofa watching TV, holding half a glass of juice in her hand. Hearing the sound, she turned around and took a look first, and then she stretched out her foot and kicked Jane next to her.

Jane, in her pajamas, was sleeping in a daze. Being kicked suddenly, she jumped up at once, thinking that something bad might have happened, "What's the matter? What happened?"

"It's okay, I'm back. You can go to bed first." Katherine was amused to see Jane with a drool mark on her mouth.

"Oh, okay." Jane walked toward her room as she yawned.

"How much wine did you drink?" Katherine asked as she looked at Taylor, who came back.

"Three cups." Taylor naturally took the juice from her hand and gulped, "I'm so thirsty."

"Didn't you have water to drink at such a big banquet? How can you take my juice away from me?" Katherine murmured, his round apricot eyes rolled around, "Is there anyone or anything special?"

"No." Taylor continued to drink the juice and replied with a smile.

"Really?" Katherine didn't miss that. Her smile froze for a moment, looked at her eyes, and asked.

"You don't believe me?" Taylor pouted her mouth aggrievedly and blinked pitifully.

"Taylor, you should remember what you promised me--"
