Chapter 8 Do You Fall for Me?
"Nancy returned to China. Can you tell me you don't have any idea?" Sofia asked calmly as if she could see through everything," She was the woman you adored, but she rejected you when you asked her to marry you. Your pride and self-esteem were thwarted. You loved and hated her, so you definitely couldn't be indifferent."
Sophia guessed his thought, which made Henry a little annoyed. He got up and rushed to Sofia, pulling her up from the sofa by her arm, "Sofia Geller, you're not doing this out of jealousy because you’ve fallen in love with me, are you?"
Sofia seemed at a loss at that moment, but it was fleeting and Henry didn't even notice it. She put her hands on Henry's chest and tried to keep her distance from him, "If your male pride can be mended when I say I'm doing this because I'm jealous due to my love to you, then you can think that I'm in love with you."
Henry stared closely at Sofia's face, wanting to tell whether she was lying. But after a moment, Henry pushed Sofia away.
"You live here to cool off for a while, and you can go back anytime you want. As for the divorce, I don't want to hear it anymore," Henry said in a cold voice.
Sofia rubbed her arm that was painful because of Henry. Henry was never such a rude and impulsive man. It seemed that her mentioning divorce really irritated him, so he lost control.
"Henry Smith, you don't want a divorce. It's not because you're in love with me, right?" Sofia asked Henry back with what he had just said, "But I won't fall in love with a man who has another woman in his heart, so let's get divorced in a peaceful way. After all, you don't want to see William upset about us."
"For the first time, I find you are so eloquent." The meaning of Henry's statement was unclear. He sat back on the sofa and said, "I'm hungry."
Sofia was ready to be mocked by Henry, but when she heard Henry suddenly say that he was hungry, she was a little surprised, "Mr. Smith, you're CEO of the Smith Group. Don't you have money to buy food?"
"I'm not used to eating outside food," Henry said calmly, "Didn't you just buy food? Hurry up and cook something for me. I'll take care of business for a while. Don't make me wait too long."
Sofia felt that her years of cultivation might break down at this moment. She took a deep breath to calm herself down, "There is no reason for me to serve the stomach of a man who is about to become my ex-husband."
"About to become, but not yet. So for now I'm still your husband." Henry retorted with ease, "You have an obligation to take care of my stomach, and my body."
Henry deliberately emphasized the word body, making Sofia unable to help but think something about sex. Her ears were burning slightly. But she quickly threw away the messy thoughts and said with forced calmness, "Even if I'm still your wife, I'm not your slave, and you don't have the right to instruct me to do anything I don't want to do."
Sofia also emphasized the last sentence and slightly tilted her head to meet Henry's eyes.
Henry Smith felt a bit interesting when he looked at Sofia. He doubted that the woman in front of him was not really the woman he had been married to for six years. Or had he ever known the woman? Some memories came to him in an unbidden way.
