Chapter 4 A Good Man Is Not Necessarily a Good Husband

Zack still lay down. After a long time, Dorothy hadn't returned. Could it be that her father really fell?

He suddenly remembered that today he and Dorothy were married. If he didn't go with Dorothy to see her father's situation, then his father would lose his temper and blame him for not treating Dorothy well.

He got up and ran out to Robin Field's room hastily. As expected, the old man fell to the ground, and Dorothy was helping him hard.

Because of hemiplegia, it was not convenient for Robin to go to the bathroom at night. When he was in his hometown, he ate very little for dinner. Today, since it was his daughter's wedding day, also because of the persuasion of Hogan White and his wife, he was so happy that he ate more than usual. As a result, he had to use the bathroom before midnight.

When he got out of bed, he accidentally fell down with his wheelchair. There was a call for help on the wheelchair, but he didn't want to disturb either the White Family or his newlywed daughter. He tried hard to get up, but he failed.

Dorothy was awakened by the nightmare. When she rushed over, she saw her father struggling on the ground. She was so distressed that her tears came out, "Dad, why didn't you call me?"

Robin said tremblingly, "It's... your wedding day. I can't disturb you..."

Dorothy came to help his father. Unexpectedly, the wheelchair was stuck at the foot of the bed, and his father was between the wheelchair and the bed. She couldn't either pull the wheelchair out or help her father, so she burst into tears.

At this moment, Zack came in. He rushed to carefully remove the wheelchair from the foot of the bed, and then carried Robin with his arms.

Dorothy hurriedly pulled the wheelchair right under her father, while Zack gently put Robin down, took the wheelchair, and said, "Dad, I will push you over."

Although he was forced to marry Dorothy, whom he didn't love, Zack was very polite in front of Robin these days.

Robin looked very kind, which was completely opposite to Hogan's majestic face. Every time Zack saw this kind old man, he would remember what his father said about the past.

If it were not for the old man in front of him who tried to save his father, he wouldn't have been retaliated against to become a disabled person and spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

Because of this, Zack couldn't help but respect the old man in his heart. Even if he didn't marry Dorothy, he felt that he was obliged to serve him as his son when he grew old.

So even if he didn't like Dorothy, he wouldn't look unhappy in front of Robin. During the wedding ceremony, he even followed his mother's instructions and called Robin "Dad".

Dorothy followed behind in an uneasy manner. Zack pushed her father into the bathroom, untied his pants before he supported him onto the toilet and sat down, and then pushed the wheelchair out. Seeing all of this, Dorothy flushed and felt very warm.

This man was not as cold as he looked. He started to help her take care of her father on the first day of their marriage, especially their wedding night.

At this time, Dorothy had no idea that a good man was not necessarily a good husband.

Especially, if a man did not love a woman, but was forced to marry her unwillingly, he was even less likely to be a good husband.

Zack guarded outside the bathroom all the time. When Robin was done, he took him back to the wheelchair, pulled him back to the room, and then asked, "Dad, is there anything else you need?"

Robin shook his head kindly, "No. Sorry I bothered both of you. Now go to sleep."

Zack said softly, "Dad, this is what we should do. Make yourself at home. Just call me if anything."

"Okay, okay."

Zack looked back at Dorothy and said, "Let's go back."

Dorothy also greeted her father, "Dad, we'll go back to our room. Just call us if you need anything."

"Okay, I got it. Just go to rest."

Watching the two young men go out one after another, Robin had a gratified smile on his face.

That incident three days ago made him very worried about his daughter's future. When Hogan forced Zack to marry Dorothy, he was very worried that Zack would treat his daughter badly. He didn't expect that Zack was a good kid, so he relaxed.

When Zack returned to the room, he fell on the bed.

Dorothy stood for a while and said, "Thank you, for what you did just now."

Zack didn't speak, so Dorothy didn't dare to say anything. She returned to the sofa and sat down, slowly falling asleep.

Zack still couldn't sleep. He tossed on the bed, with Blake in his mind.
