Vicky Rogers woke up from another one of her nightmare which was haunting her for five years. She was panting heavily. She couldn't believe that whether she is in the same nightmare or woke up.

A pair of tiny palms cupped her cheeks with concern and worry. She hugged him tightly as her life depends on it. She kissed him on his forehead and pecified him.

".. it's okay.. Mommy is okay... "

She was worried that her her son was afraid of her scream. No matter what, she couldn't forget her nightmare.

Flashback

Vicky Rogers was a twenty years old girl living with her single mother. Her father left them when she was five years old and from that day her mother Jessie Rogers tried hard to bring her up.

Vicky was so smart, beautiful and kind from her childhood. When she entered college she worked hard to pay her tution fees but she couldn't continue her studies because her mother was ill with the gastric cancer.

She stopped her studies for a while to help her mother but Jessie's body couldn't handle the treatment.

Vicky Rogers loved a man named Gerald Mann since her high school days. He worked in a small company near her school and lived in her neighbourhood. She had to marry him because he was in a great dept beyond her imagination. He convinced her that if she married him his salary will be doubled and he could even get double bonus.

Poor Vicky believed him and married him because Vicky and Jessie were thrown out of their house by the owner due to her lack of money. She had no choice and married him right after she finished her schooling. All she wanted was to have a place for her and her mother to stay.

After marriage she behaved like a perfect homemaker and took care of both Gerald and his mother. Her mother in law often hurt her but Vicky endured it for the sake of her mother. Gerald turned blind eye to his mother.

He often stayed outside and brought few girls to their house. Vicky and Gerald never had an intimate relationship because she fainted on her wedding night and was taken to the hospital. The doctor advised Gerald that she could not have sèx for few months.

It irritated him so he left her at the hospital. From then he never behaved like a good man as he used to behave in her school days. He turned into a beast and often hit her too. She prayed to God that as long as her mother has a place to stay she could endure it.
