Chapter 19 You're Heartless!

She retorted helplessly, "I only agreed to sleep with you but not sell myself to you."

"Who do you think you are? You sleep with me for one night, and I give you 50 million?" The corner of Francisco's mouth curved up in a sneer.

Lindsay immediately pulled a long face, "Lindsay, what do you mean? Are you going back on your words?"

With a jingle, the elevator door opened. Then Francisco strode out gracefully without replying.

"Francisco!"

As the elevator was about to close, Lindsay hastily chased after him, "Make it clear!"

"Marry me!"

Francisco abruptly wall-banged her, threw his arms around her, and spoke seriously, "I'm willing to invest 50 million on Fowler Group!"

Lindsay's eyes immediately reddened with his request.

Should he ask her to marry him?

Did he forget how he hurt her five years ago?

She felt a dull pain in her chest.

But on the surface, she curled up her lips to ridicule, "Mr. Graves, a piece of advice, go back home and check the name of your spouse in your residence booklet."

"Heh!"

Francisco lifted her chin and smiled nonchalantly, "As long as I like it, she could be anyone!"

His words stabbed her heart fiercely like a knife.

Looked like he got married to that woman!

What about now?

What did he mean?

"Sorry!" Lindsay rejected him indifferently, "I don't want to be a despicable mistress!"

Just then, the elevator door opened, and Lindsay beat him to get out first.

She could trade her pride but would never want Francisco to look down upon her!

But when she just took a few steps, a robust hand yanked her. The next second, she fell into a warm embrace, and then a teasing voice came over, "Lindsay, you could be a stripper and a ho yet you are afraid of being a mistress?"

"Francisco, why wouldn't you let me go?" Lindsay questioned him in distress.

"Let you go?"

There was a tinge of inexplicable emotion in his icy eyes, and he gritted his teeth, "Lindsay, I don't plan to let you go across my lifetime! You either marry me or witness Stefan's death and Fowler Group's bankruptcy!"

"Francisco, you're heartless!" Her eyes turning red, Lindsay snapped.

"Heartless?"

Lindsay's words stung his heart, and he smirked, "Lindsay, you were way more heartless five years ago when you broke up with me!"

Saddened by his ridicule, Lindsay felt a tingling sensation from her nose.

She somehow felt like crying.

It was he who betrayed her first five years ago!

And now he accused her of being heartless?

In the end, Lindsay restrained her sorrow and agreed to his request with a poker face, "Okay, I can marry you! But I hope you can keep your word!"

"That's my girl!"

Francisco immediately restored his tenderness, stroked the hair on her forehead, and smiled, "Let's go home and get the license tomorrow, eh?"

"Okay!" Still expressionless, Lindsay nodded her head.

When Francisco took her back to the lavender manor, it was already late at night.

The manor was all quiet.

But her heart somehow fluctuated.
