Chapter 9 You're Naughty

Nancy certainly got his meaning.

In Ned's mind, she was a bad girl because she sold her tits in a bar.

Nancy felt aggrieved. Just because of a blot in her life, he denied everything about her.

Feeling a warm sensation from her eyes, Nancy pinched her palms forcefully. The pain would remind her not to cry. However, she failed to restrain her eyes from turning red.

Ned stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray and reminded Nancy, "I don't like to see women crying. If you have anything on your mind, just say it. If you have any request, bring it up."

Nancy turned her head sideways and took a deep breath. Her moist eyelashes trembled slightly and pitifully.

She spoke with a distinct quiver in her voice, "Mr. Green, I know that you look down on me."

She was so pissed that she no longer used honorific language.

Ned leaned on the sofa lazily. Three buttons of his white shirt were opened, and he rested one hand on his knee. While tapping it with his fingertip, he looked as if in deep thought.

Nancy collected herself, clenched her trembling fingers, and continued.

She tried to sound calm, "I'm here to tutor Whitney for 100 yuan a day. Compared with my peers, I ask for little. It's hard-earned money. In school, I get the highest grade in every exam, and my moral standing is fine. My private life is discreet, and the only blemish was when I went to the bar due to my grandma's accident. I'm thankful for your help back then, but that's not a reason for you to humiliate me. Everyone has choices to make. The 20,000 yuan I received from you will be repaid."

Deeply humiliated, Nancy got up and just wanted to leave the place, through which she believed she could prove her innocence.

But Ned reached out his arm and clasped the wrist of the leaving girl, "There are things you are not able to pay me back. If you want to prove yourself, stay and tutor Whitney diligently. If she can make it to the top ten in the monthly exam, I'll believe you."

Nancy still trembled in anger, "I don't need others to believe me. A clean hand wants no washing."

"If I didn't buy you at the bar and let you go, do you think you can say such a thing?"

The man's sudden question rendered her speechless.

Nancy tried to break free from his grip, but he grasped her more tightly until her bone hurt.

She gritted her teeth to struggle desperately.

Ned suddenly yanked her forward, "You don't need your hand now?"

Losing her balance, Nancy plunged to Ned. Her knee hit the side of the sofa, and she fell into his arms.

Ned was shoved back by the impact and collapsed on the sofa. Nancy's nose hit his solid chest, resulting in a lot of pain.

Despite the pain, she was anxious to get up as soon as she could.

Her hands flailed, and she touched a soft, elastic spot through the cloth of his suit pants.

Nancy didn't think much of it but pressed down to prop herself up.

"Ow..."

Ned grunted in pain.

Nancy looked over, only to find her hand gripped by him landed on some sensitive spot.

"Ah!"

Nancy screamed in fear, flinched quickly, and got off his body.

She stood there at a loss. Before her eyes, Ned knitted his brows painfully.

She lost her head.

He held onto the armrest, propped himself up, and frowned sullenly at Nancy.

He crossed his legs a little awkwardly, "You can really pick a spot. You sounded so lofty. Is it how you show it?"
