Chapter 9 Well then... We'll See

Sharon's eyes were full of hatred when she saw Elisa's delicate face and perfect figure.

"What phoenix? I only see a slut." Holly chimed in sarcastically, "Some lowly women, however beautifully dressed, are still fools and sluts by nature."

As the two echoed with each other, Elisa didn't say anything but Joan couldn't take it anymore. In her anger, she glared at them, "Mind your speech, Eli is not a fool."

"Heh, since you're with her, you're also a fool. Fools are not self-aware of their foolish nature." As Elisa's companion spoke up for her, Sharon also shouted abuse to her.

"That's right, birds of a feather flock together. You're a wretch too." Holly chimed in.

"How dare you..." In her anger, Joan wanted to argue it out with them. Before her following words came out, she felt Elisa tugging at her arm. Taking the hint, Joan halted her speech.

After checking Joan, Elisa looked at the two women with cold yet charming eyes and spoke slowly, "Yeah?"

Holly sensed something different from her simple response and felt strange.

Elisa's voice was calm and steady. She no longer grinned foolishly as before. What was going on? Why wasn't she dumb anymore?

Did the divorce shock and change her?

Holly thought about it and no longer found it so strange. Regaining her composure, she stared at Elisa and spoke with disdain, "Of course, you're a disreputable gang."

Elisa listened and continued calmly instead of losing her temper, "Sure enough, beasts' vision is different."

"How dare you..." Aware of the indirect abuse, Holly glared at Elisa. She was so angry that she lost her train of thought and her counter-argument.

Also aware of the abuse, Sharon tried to argue back. When her words were at the tip of her tongue, Elisa's voice came over again.

"Am I stupid or not?" Elisa paused for a moment, "Holly, Sharon, you'll see from the reality."

"Humph, a lowly bitch like you is not worthy of my attention." Holly cursed, looked at her daughter, and continued to belittle Elisa, "You're just a lowly slave compared with Sharon who is a princess."

Then Holly continued with her bragging, "Sharon is pretty and promising in the showbiz. She just auditioned for a new movie directed by the famous director, Simon Kelly yesterday. Sharon performed so well that she will be selected for sure."

Delighted by her mother's praise, Sharon flaunted, "That's right, Mr. Kelly sang the praise of my performing talent, so it will be a success."

Hearing them out, Elisa quickly mulled it over, figured out something, and got an idea.

But she didn't show it on the surface. Still indifferently she looked at Holly and Sharon, "Oh, well then... we'll see."

Judging from Elisa's response, Holly and Sharon believed their flaunting worked. They were satisfied and felt much better.

Swollen with pride, Sharon didn't want to wrestle with two fools and grabbed her mother's arm, "Mom, let's go and buy pretty clothes. I'll take you to a dinner party held in a high-end club next week."

"Great, Sharon, you are amazing to be invited to high-end dinner parties." Before leaving, Holly didn't forget to show off again, "When Sharon marries into the Jimenes family, I can also enjoy a luxurious life."

Following her words, Holly and Sharon swaggered past Elisa. Sharon even deliberately bumped and shoved her aside.

Elisa swayed but didn't bother to look at them. Instead, she stared at somewhere in the front and slightly curled up her mouth.

It had been three months, but Sharon still hadn't married into the Jimenes family. Looks like their relationship was in crisis.

But she didn't care about this since she took both Martin and Sharon as strangers now.

Keeping her smile, Elisa shifted her attention, lowered her head, took out her cell phone, and sent a text message.

"Simon, I don't want to see Sharon in your movie."
