Chapter 12 I'll Send Her Home
"I thought you said I was the one you loved the most, so why are you so quick to fall in love with someone else?" Troy mocked her.
"Oh, yeah? I'd forgotten." Bella looked at Troy with a deliberately beautiful smile.
"Really?" Troy suddenly approached and leaned over to look at Bella.
Bella was startled by him. Bella's strength was weakened in front of Troy, who was a head taller than her.
Bella instinctively took a few steps backward and her back pressed against the wall. Troy braced his palms against the wall, trapping Bella, who scrambled to push him, trying to free herself from his grip.
"Troy, what are you doing?" She snapped in a low voice.
"I'd like to remind you that you're my ex-girlfriend." Troy leaned in close to sniff her nice scent, still as inviting as ever.
"You also know I'm your ex-girlfriend. If my current boyfriend knew you are doing this to me, what do you think he would do to you?" Bella looked up at Troy defiantly, disdainful and scowling.
"I'd like to see what he'd do to me." Troy leaned his head down and his lips fell on Bella's face.
Bella pushed him hard, but of no avail.
"I'm telling you, Troy, I don't love you anymore, not by a long shot."
"Don't love me? I'll make you fall in love with me again."
"Ridiculous, why you're so confident? You ignored me in the first place, and now it's too late to turn back. I'm in love with someone else."
"I don't believe it. What do you like him for?" Troy's deep eyes looked at Bella with an aura of angriness.
"I have good sex with him and he can satisfy me. That's a lot better than you," Bella said with a smug look on her face.
"Bella, you are shameless. Is that what a girl should say?" Troy said in exasperation. Bella had always been very meek and sweet in front of him, so how could she say such shameless things?
"What's the big deal? I've done it and I'm not afraid that people will know," Bella said indifferently.
"Aren't you always against premarital sex? You've actually slept with him?"
"Yeah, I have to choose the right person for the first time. Otherwise, I'm maltreating myself," Bella said carelessly. She stroked her unruly hair, not wanting to pretend to be a good girl in front of him anymore. It was too tiring to behave like a good girl to someone who didn't love her. Bad girls were so much nicer and less restrictive.
"You're, you're, so slutty." Troy gritted his teeth in exasperation.
"He's my man, and he and I can do whatever we like. I'm not cheating on him, so I'm not slutty at all." Bella scoffed back." Why are you so angry? We have broken up, haven't we? "
"Bella, you've changed," Troy said dejectedly.
"People change all the time. You're changing too, and you're in no position to blame me."
Bella pushed him away like a fighting warrior with her youthful face raising, feeling relieved at the moment.
Troy smiled wickedly as he watched Bella's back. He wouldn't let anyone else get the women he didn't get.
Thomas answered the phone from behind the flowers and watched the scene with a meaningful and provocative smile. The woman was interesting and he liked it.
The room was still bustling with the sounds of talking and riddles reverberating throughout the space. The leftovers on the table watched everyone's drunkenness.
At the end of the banquet, everyone staggered out.
Someone offered to sing. Under the circumstances tonight, Bella was not in the mood to have fun and wanted to leave.
"I'm not going. You guys go ahead." Bella excused her headache and offered to go home early.
"I have something to do tonight, so I won't stay with you." Thomas, as he had promised Bella, also offered to leave.
Troy also suggested that Eddy should be sent home early to rest after her surgery.
So, everyone was out of the mood to continue having fun. Finally, they all went home.
"Bella, I'll get a driver to send you home." Cindy, a little drunk and blushing, took Bella's hand and shambled out.
"You're already drunk, so don't give me a ride. Just ask Simon to take you home first, so your husband won't blame me for leading you astray, or he won't let you come out with me anymore," Bella said with a smile.
"I'll take her home," Thomas said to Cindy. Fearing rejection, he said, "It's on the way."
People all knew who he was referring to.
"I don't want to go home." Bella wanted to say no right away, but couldn't find the right reason so she told Thomas that.
But as soon as she said it, everyone looked at her as if they knew something, and then at Thomas, especially Henry, who smiled and punched Thomas in his chest.
"Good for you, man."
Bella reacted as if her words had been misunderstood and tried to explain, but didn't know what to say. Her face was red and she couldn't say a word.
Thomas, "Then we won't go back to your apartment."
What was wrong with him? Bella glared at him. He had told everyone they didn't misunderstand.
Thomas, on the other hand, was calm.
"OK, Bella will be in Mr. Hodder's charge, and Cindy has a driver. So go home, everyone." Carl paid the bill and came out, saying to the crowd.
She had drunk so she couldn't drive. She had to take her car tomorrow. Bella didn't want to pay any attention to Thomas and walked forward in a huff.
"My car's over there." Thomas's voice came from behind her.
"I'm not the driver. Why are you telling me this?" Bella, through her drunkenness and the fact that she was still angry, retorted without looking back.
"I have a driver."
Bella stopped abruptly, "You're doing this on purpose, aren't you? You're getting back at me because I asked you to impersonate my boyfriend to help me out the other night?"
Thomas said from behind her, "It wasn't just that night that I was your boyfriend."
Bella suddenly turned around, "Do you think I pick a boyfriend casually? You should be honored that I chose you," she said, turning her head and walking away.
Bella didn't know where she was going, but she just tried to stay away from him. He was a powerful man and was not in the same category as Troy. She couldn't even handle someone as simple as Troy. She couldn't handle this deep-minded person.
"Where are you going? My car is in the back." Thomas came over and walked alongside her.
"Nothing to do with you!" Bella glared at him.
"They handed you over to me, and I'm responsible for you," Thomas said solemnly. He picked her up right away.
"Ah-, what are you doing?"
"I'll take you home!" The man pursed his lips and smiled.
Finally, Bella was forced into the car by him.
Thomas closed the door on her side of the car, went around to the other side, opened the door, and got into the car.
The car was spacious, but when he got in, it felt too narrow. Bella scooted over, not wanting to get too close to him. Since she couldn't afford to mess with this guy, she stayed away from him.
Thomas quirked his lips and glanced at the little woman next to him.
