Chapter 4 What a Cutie!
Liz stuck her tongue, her joy at being reborn could not be suppressed for a moment. And she continued fearlessly on purpose, "I see. I see. Let's say I'm giving you a chance. Is that okay?"
"You!"
Greg glared at her with a mixture of emotions in his heart.
"Do you have any idea what you're talking about?"
Greg's voice sounded painful. Thus, Liz corrected her attitude.
The man must be incredibly disappointed and distressed.
Over the eight years since they got to know each other, she had repeatedly refused him and broke his heart.
Even so, he still insisted on marrying her.
At this thought, Liz blinked, then raised her fingers with a sincere expression on her face.
"I swear, I know clearly what I'm talking about. I'm Liz, and Liz and Greg are going to grow old together for the rest of their lives."
I'll try my very best to be a good wife to you, and if I can't do that, God will punish me to..."
"That's enough!"
Greg interrupted her.
"I'm not done with it yet."
Greg abruptly held Liz tightly in his arms, his chin resting on the top of Liz's head to prevent her from detecting the ecstasy and passion in his eyes.
Hugging the woman's tender figure and smelling her faint scent, Greg heaved a helpless sigh.
"You must not break your promise."
Even if it was a lie, he was willing to believe in it since it was spoken.
Liz blinked in the man's arms, then narrowed her eyes with a smile.
The man was so adorable.
He actually asked her not to break her promise.
It seemed that he was genuinely into her.
What a cutie he was! How come Liz was too blind to see that?
Fortunately, God forgave her ignorance and deigned her a second chance.
Greg held Liz for a good while before letting her go.
Liz felt her cheeks were burning hot. After gently squeezing her face, she looked up at Greg.
There was someone else she was profoundly concerned with.
"Where's Ed?"
Greg paused in surprise.
"You call him Ed?"
Liz was clear why the man looked so surprised.
Eddie Behrendt, nicknamed Ed, was their child.
He was three years old.
However, he was the fruit of an accident.
As a nurse intern at the hospital, Liz's senior year of college, got bullied by the formal employees.
Liz was an outspoken and proud little princess back then. Naturally, her meddlesome female colleagues produced a lot of gossip concerning her personal relationships.
When Liz was upset, she would go to Chris for comfort. One day, Chris actually took her to a hotel room.
The two of them were drunk on that day, and Chris wanted to have sex with Liz. However, Greg showed up.
Thus, it was Greg who kissed Liz.
The furious, heartbroken look in Greg's eyes was still vivid in Liz's memory.
"If you're in a rush to give your virginity away, you might as well give it to me."
Greg, drunk and angry, had sex with Liz in a muddleheaded state.
After that, Liz got pregnant.
As Liz was pregnant, she had to end her internship and left the hospital with a lousy reputation behind.
Liz hated Greg but could not bring herself to abort the child, so she eventually gave birth to a baby.
She could not forget the joy on Greg's face when he held the newborn baby in his arms.
Later, Liz ruthlessly shattered Greg's joy with what she did.
After their child was born, Liz hated Greg even more and disliked the baby too. The hatred was so intense that she left the kid with Greg and never hugged or kissed him once for five years.
It was heartbreaking to even think about it in retrospect.
