Chapter-5

6 weeks later,

I rushed out of the elevator and looked at my watch. It is my 6th week on the job. Yes, I managed to break all of his prior secretary records by staying more than 15 days though I am not satisfied. As I aim to get a 3 years contract, for reaching my aim I even sacrificed my lovable sleep. So, I can always reach the office before the time but unlike another day, today I am 2 minutes late.

2 minutes is not a big number, right? But no, it's the wrong answer. 2 minutes means 120 seconds and if you get 120 seconds late, it means you don't know the value of the time. If you don't know, you should leave this company.

No, I am not saying anything without a valid reason. I have seen Theo lecturing his driver who was 1 minute late. That poor man pleaded to say that he was stuck in traffic but arrogant Theo didn't pay any heed. He fired the driver and roared in the office saying if you get traffic then leave the house before an hour.

So, I just hope this same story doesn't repeat with me.

However, I am not late because of my mistake. I am late because of Theo only. He made me busy with his blind date. His mother forces him to go on the dates and this brat takes me on his date and there he talks with me about his office work. As a result, his dates dump him. Not only this, some girls even threw water at me.

What a good way, isn't it?

"Lucky, aren't you?" Lucy came into Theo's cabin with two coffee mugs.

"For what?" I arched my brows and began to clean Theo's desk.

"Check your mobile," she giggled.

"I will do it in a few minutes," I muttered.

"Not at all a problem. Well, how is the apartment? Are you liking that place? And is there any problem?" She asked.

"I am loving that place though I don't get why there are no other employees?" I attempted to say. "Because for them, there is another building which is 20 minutes away."

"So rich, isn't it?" I sarcastically asked.

"Yes though your apartment is a private building of Mr. Martin. So, you are lucky enough to live in that apartment," after saying that, she left from there keeping the coffee for me.

I don't know why she still comes before her reporting time. Perhaps she truly wants me to save my job. That's why for six weeks, she monitored my work and helped me to get to know Theo.

As much as I am knowing Theo, I get embarrassed to work around him. He is so a perfect man but on the other hand, I am the epitome of imperfections. From the look to the way of work. I don't have anything perfect in me.

Even though I wish to work with him.

Well, I took my mobile from the pocket and sighed seeing Theo's message.

He said that he will come at 11:00 a.m instead of 10:00 a.m as he has some errands to do and also today, he won't need me.

Wow! I have good fortune today however I couldn't understand why he didn't ask me to accompany me? Other days, he tags me with himself even to his gym. There I don't do any work except for staring at his well-built chest.

Jerking my thoughts, I got busy with my work but my concentration got broken by my mobile's ring without wasting even a single second. I picked it as it was Devil's call, I mean Theo's call. And I can't afford to ignore his calls. Whatever be the situation.

"Where are you?" Theo yelled.

"In your cabin," I answered, maintaining my calm.

"There is a change in the plan. Within 10 minutes, come to the parking area and don't forget to bring my brown tie and coffee," after saying that he dropped the call.

I couldn't even say to him that I still didn't arrange his drawers.

Nevermind! If I would have told me then chances were that he would have come to know that I was late.

Though I don't understand, why did he call me? Didn't he message me that he won't need me?

Nevermind! I shouldn't even try to think or ask regarding this to him or else the volcano would burst at me.

I cursed him in my mind and ran to the coffee machine. Seeing me coming, the attendant who was on the duty of cleaning immediately went aside.

"Thanks," I muttered.

I quickly prepared coffee and ran from there. Within 8 minutes, I reached the parking area and kept my hands at my chest.

Where is this bastard? I glanced around myself to search for his car and looked at my watch, only 3 minutes left.

"Hop in the car. We don't have much time," said Theo from the behind. I pressed my lips and curled my lips in a fake smile and silently sat at the passenger seat with him. I extended his coffee, tie, and some chocolates to him.

"What is the status of the A.S enterprise deal?" He asked out of the blue.

"The deal is almost finalized, some paper works are pending which will happen by tomorrow evening," I said.

"By today's evening, I want that deal on my table. I don't know how you would do it," he said.

"Umm… but they told us that they will send papers to us," I said.

"I don't like to wait. Go to them and collect the papers," he said. I hummed and looked away, uttering profanity in my mind.

"I hope you are fine to come with me even after a sudden change," Theo uttered

"Not at all a problem, sir," I answered.

But in mind, I thought like if I have then can I even say anything to him?

"Good to know. That's why you are still in the office even though you lack so many things. But then you are learning fast," he said.

Was it a taunt? Or compliment? I should take it as a compliment as I would feel better.

Theo got busy with his work while I began to check his schedule.

"Sir, where are we going?" I asked. He furrowed his brows and dug his head in the iPad. "I asked because it was not in your schedule. Moreover, at 1:00 p.m, you have a meeting with a Spanish company."

"There is some urgency at my house also I got bored," he sternly said.

"Urgency? Is everything fine?" I asked, ignoring his boredness stuff.

"My house is under renovation. It will take some months so I need a good place to stay," he said, avoiding looking at his mobile which means he has some other motive too.

I should not ask more as it will be wrong. I just need to do my work. "So, I need to help you in searching places?" I asked. He hummed and again got busy with his iPad. "Should I cancel your prior appointment? Or should I push it ahead?"

"No, I don't mean to give you a suggestion but I have to send a confirmation mail to them before 11:30 am," I immediately said, recalling how much he hates suggestions.

Yes in these six weeks, I know him this much. He is a narcissistic guy. And one thing I would like to add, I am going to suffer hugely. The man who doesn't get satisfied with a slightly different colored watch which doesn't match with his clothes than how much time he would take to choose his perfect place.

The car halted at our first destination, we both disembark and ambled towards the building.

"One thing I forgot to mention Ms. Parker, anyhow I would need a good place to stay before the evening, if you fail to reach our objective then only you have to provide me a place," Theo said.

"What do you mean sir? I only have to tag along with you but the place of staying, you have to choose, not me," I confusedly asked.

To be continued.
