Chapter 8 Spiteful Insults

Sophia dragged Tyler's increasingly transparent soul through the crowd and stopped the paramedics. The moment her hand touched the boy's body, she learned the following information.

Name: Tyler Cooper.

Status: Internal organs shattered, legs broken, massive internal bleeding, soul out of the body.

Cause: A terrible car accident.

Sophia's Qi was insufficient to completely cure the boy's wounds. She was then told that Tai-Chi Resuscitative Acupuncture was available to save him.

Sophia's face went pale. She had never studied pharmacology in her previous life and thus knew nothing about acupuncture.

True Qi was originally not much, and the woman had used it this morning to repair her own body. Only two degrees of her Qi were left, and the Tai-Chi Jade Amulet was much dimmer.

But since Sophia had decided to save Tyler, she would not stand by and watch him die at such a young age.

She put her hand on Tyler's wrist. Although Sophia's pretty little face was freezing and expressionless, she was screaming inwardly to pray for the strength to save the boy.

The Tai-Chi Jade Amulet in her mind spun up frantically, and the only two remaining degrees of the Tai-Chi Jade Amulet's energy flowed down to the place where Sophis touched Tyler and directly entered Tyler's body.

A silver gleam, invisible to mortal flesh, flashed at the point of contact between Sophia and Tyler.

Although the flash took only a short moment, Ryan keenly noticed it.

His pupils shrank, and his black eyes shifted from Tyler to Sophia.

He stared closely at Sophia. His eyes flashed with a pensive look. His long black brows twitched slightly.

Because the true Qi flashed so fast that Evan, an ancient cultivator, did not even notice it.

The moment the silver gleam of true Qi merged into Tyler's body, his gray face became redder and moister.

The Tai-Chi Jade Amulet in Sophia's mind completely darkened, her face also paled a bit, and a thin layer of sweat emerged from her forehead.

A wave of dizziness hit her, which was the aftermath of the overuse of true Qi.

Sophia blinked and put herself together. Hastily, she tugged at Tyler's soul and pressed it back into his body.

Tyler's soul slowly lay into his body along with Sophia's movements. Although the soul's limbs gradually overlapped and fused with the body's, yet the soul's head hovered above that of the body.

No matter how Sophia pressed, Tyler's soul sat upright inside his body.

"Get in!"

Sophia was in a hurry, and her slim, slender palm slapped Tyler's soul hard on its head.

Upon seeing the scene, the onlookers became furious.

"This woman is crazy! The pitiful boy is dead. How could she slap his head? Can't she just leave him in peace!"

"I've never seen such a heartless woman! To attract Calvin's attention, she even beat the dead!"

"This woman is crazy for money! The doctor has declared the boy's death. Does she think she's the god of medicine? Shameless! How could she be so cheeky to obtain Calvin's favor? What an impudent woman!"

The invectives were getting louder and louder, and some people's words became more and more insulting.

At the others' comments on Sophia's behavior, Evan also thought that the woman was going too far and being too stupid.

The hand hanging at his waist moved slightly, and he turned his head to look at Ryan, seeing his dark eyes staring at Sophia. With light sunlight falling upon his shoulder, he looked like a pine.

Ryan witnessed Sophia's actions without any intention to stop her.

Seeing so, Evan gradually relaxed his hand hanging on one side of his waist.

Evan was always a loyal subordinate. Since Ryan did not ask him to stop Sophia, he would not gab or take action without his boss's permission.
