Chapter 6 Fake Girlfriend
"A show?" Alice was more confused.
"Just get in the car!" He opened the car door and pushed her to the passenger seat.
Danny drove out of the school, and she was scared, "Where are you taking me? Are you a fellow student? I've never seen you before."
With one hand on the steering wheel, he threw his student ID card on her lap and explained calmly, "I'm a transfer student, take a look at my card."
Alice checked the card carefully. It was identical to hers except for the personal information and major.
"Your name is Danny Bowman?"
"Yeah, what about you?" He asked casually, not particularly interested.
"I'm Alice from the acting department."
The corners of his lips curved up slightly, "Acting is easy-peasy for you, I assume."
"Still learning..." She answered a bit diffidently.
"It's okay. Here is a chance for you to practice."
"Where are you taking me exactly? Make it clear, or I'll get off."
"Remember those candid cameramen in the parking lot?" Danny said calmly.
"Yes."
"They were sent by my father. Put on a show with me, and I won't claim compensation for my shirt." He continued.
Alice regarded deception as a bad thing and hesitated.
"It's wrong to deceive your father. You can turn to another person."
"You happen to be here. If you refuse, pay 100,000 yuan for my shirt. I'll drop you off right away."
"I really don't have the money..." She said desperately.
"Then cut the crap and no stage fright when you meet my father later."
...
Half an hour later, Danny and Alice both got off.
They arrived at the old mansion of the Bowman family. Grabbing her hand, he led her into the hall.
She was not in a mood to appreciate the luxurious mansion, and her palms were covered with cold sweat.
As soon as they entered the living room, two men on the couch looked over almost at the same time.
"Ruben..." Alice lost her tongue in shock.
Caper sneered inwardly. He didn't look for the shortie, and she came to his door.
When he saw them hand-in-hand, his dark eyes turned a bit cold.
"Dad, cousin, allow me to introduce my girlfriend, Alice. We study in the same college, and she is majoring in acting."
"Alice, meet my father and my cousin."
Utterly embarrassed, she froze there. As their fingers were interlocked, there was no way she could shake off his hand!
Danny's father, Saul Bowman, pulled a long face, looked at Alice, and asked, "Miss Sharon, are you really Danny's girlfriend?"
"I'm not... eh... yes!" Alice felt a pressing pain from her fingers and corrected herself.
"Heh heh, Danny, you need a better actress." Saul said in a bland tone.
"Dad, I don't like blind dates! I'm just a sophomore and have no interest in marriage." Danny said coldly.
"I just want you to meet and get to know each other. No one is talking about marriage. It's a process after all. If she has no feelings for you, she won't marry you." Saul remained composed.
"Why does it have to be Holly Lindsay?"
Saul was confused by his discontent, "Isn't Holly your first girlfriend? You were madly in love. What, you no longer like her?"
