Chapter 11 Troublesome Senior
"I just suspect that Ruben's deception might have something to do with Sara." Alice answered.
"Okay, I'll get it for you."
"Zain, forget it if it's difficult. I don't want to see you in trouble." Alice reminded him.
She knew this kind of investigation violated privacy. But if she went to ask Sara, the latter would fake innocence for sure.
Zain got a strange feeling and asked casually, "What, are you worried about me?"
"Of course! We grew up together, and you're my best friend!"
He muttered, "Best friend..."
He felt bitter inside, but Alice noticed nothing wrong and waved goodbye.
She was going back to school.
...
After the acting class in the afternoon, Ms. Levine called Alice and led the girl to her office.
In her forties, the head teacher had been appreciating Alice's talent in acting.
The only problem with Alice was her shallow experience and shy personality. It would gradually nip her talent.
"Alice, are you still working as an intern assistant for Gloria Downes?" The head teacher asked.
"Yes, ma'am. She has gone to the United States for further study which may last six months."
The head teacher thought for a moment and advised earnestly, "Alice, staying with Gloria will stunt your acting career in the long run."
"Instead of going out for acting opportunities and commercials, you stick to the performance class at school. Students like you are really numbered."
"I'm glad to see your aspiration to knowledge. You are not blinded by quick success and instant benefits, but I believe you should go out of the ivory tower. Only through that will your acting skills be recognized by the public."
"If you wait and seek opportunities upon graduation, it may not necessarily go well. Your talent will only shine when you work hard and accumulate enough experience."
"Through my connections, I've found a great opportunity for you to develop your skills. You can contact Keanu Wooten, an alumnus from our school. He is recruiting an assistant, and I've recommended you."
"Though you'll work as his assistant, you should know the benefits of working for a movie king. I'm sure you'll acquire lots of acting skills and worldly knowledge. I hope you can understand my good intentions."
Alice's eyes turned red, and she sobbed with gratitude, "Ms. Levine, you are so kind to me! Such an opportunity is really rare!"
Keanu was a renowned alumnus of Flying Dream Academy.
He made his debut at the age of 17, and his maiden film brought him almost all the top prizes!
27 this year, the movie king settled down abroad and only acted in one film each year.
Even so, his every film would pocket various prizes and hit box office records. He was laurelled as the most discerning and talented actor in the show business.
After bidding farewell to the head teacher, Alice held Keanu's business card with excitement.
Distracted, she bumped into Danny again.
His eyes turned slightly cold, "You again?"
Since it arose from her slip of mind this time, she looked apologetic, "Sorry, Danny!"
Although he was a transfer student, he was still a senior. She was unwilling to offend the man and showed him respect.
Besides, he was that man's cousin.
"Alice, tell me, do you know Caper?"
She nodded her head.
"How did you know each other?"
Alice blushed unnaturally, and Danny teased immediately, "Like an encounter in an idol drama?"
"No..." A melodrama, actually!
"I should go."
Danny grabbed her by the wrist, "You haven't answered me yet? How did Caper and you know each other?"
