Chapter 13 I Don't Hate You
They walked on the lawn like a quarreling couple, and the scene attracted attention.
Once again, the two candid cameramen snapped pictures and fled.
Danny thought to himself. Even though his father didn't believe that he had a girlfriend, he would make him believe.
"Alice, I've done my research and know that you have no boyfriend. Be my girlfriend, will you?"
"Who told you that? My boyfriend is named Ruben!" In her desperation, she blurted out the name of that crook.
Unexpectedly, she was met with Danny's merciless ridicule, "You're dating for three months, and you call the man you've never met your boyfriend? My situation is way better. At least, I've held your hand."
"How did you know about this? Did you investigate me?"
"What's the fuss? I can easily learn everything from people around you."
Facing his self-importance, Alice sulked, "Did Molly tell you about this? Or Freya?"
Danny halted his steps and mused, "Oh, turns out I can learn more from them..."
Her eyes froze. Was she just hoisted with her own petard?
"From whose mouth did you learn about this?"
"Will you seek revenge on your roommates? They were just worried about you." He grinned.
Alice immediately figured out the blabs.
Molly, Cindy Whitefield, Leah Sweet, and she were from the same dormitory and class.
Now Freya and she were living off-campus. Only when there were classes would she go back to her dorm.
When she worked as Gloria's assistant, she often went back too late to enter the dorm building. Therefore, she chose to rent an apartment.
"Danny, I'm really not in a mood to joke around with you. Will you let me go?"
She sounded downcast, a tinge of pleading in her tone.
His dark eyes went dim as he found the woman good-tempered. Aware of his dominance, she still talked with him patiently.
He hadn't enjoyed such a privilege for a long time.
"Alice, I can let you go, but follow me on WeChat first."
To such a simple request, Alice didn't hesitate in the slightest. She took out her phone and friended him.
"Don't blacklist me, or I'll come after you."
She felt helpless, "Why do you have to cause me trouble?"
His eyes flickered, "Because I don't hate you."
Unable to comprehend his odd speech, Alice heaved a deep sigh and walked off.
She went back to her dorm.
Though she only came back occasionally, daily necessities had been prepared.
Ten minutes later, she unlocked the door and got into the dormitory. Cindy, who was sitting in front of her bed putting on makeup, spoke with surprise, "Alice, you're back. I thought you would not stay here tonight."
"Cindy, there's something I want to ask you."
Cindy continued to put on mascara, "Mm, go ahead."
"Did Danny ask you about Ruben and me?"
As soon as Danny was mentioned, Cindy got excited, "Speaking of which, Leah and I were stunned! In the cafeteria, he came straight to us and asked us if you had a boyfriend."
"We were mesmerized by his charming face and answered his every question..."
Cindy blushed, "Alice, don't blame us, but there are no such hot guys in our department. As soon as Danny showed up, we totally lost it!"
"I heard that he is the cousin of the richest man in Lakeland and his father is the vice president of GK Group! Veritable third-generation rich! Pampered son of a top family..."
