Chapter 17 Crank Call

Ten minutes later, Alice went back to the dorm alone.

Ruben grudgingly left the school and got into his Lamborghini. In the passenger seat, his childhood friend asked, "How about it? Did Alice believe you?"

"Humph, that bitch is quite stubborn! The two classmates of hers are snobbish and sluttish. Sooner or later, I'll make them kneel and serve me!"

Richard Billy heard him out and spoke excitedly, "Ruben, I believe in you! You can definitely do it! As for that bitchy Sara, if other means fail, you can just get her pregnant. By then, she'll marry you obediently!"

"Stupid! This idea is terrible. Think you that her father, Francis Sharon, is easy to deal with? If shit happens, we may be kicked out and even killed. Who will avenge us?" Ruben questioned with a cold face.

"Is he that sick?" Richard thought it would only happen in TV dramas.

"You bet, that man abandoned his wife and daughter for the sake of glory and wealth. What terrible things he couldn't do?"

"As for Sara, I just need to please her patiently. She is not as smart as I thought. Richard, wait and see, I will marry Sara and become the owner of Sharon Enterprise!"

"Ruben, you know, I'm always supportive of you. If you need anything, just tell me!"

"I'm glad to hear that. I didn't get you out of our hometown for nothing! Just follow me to prosperity!"

...

At 1 a.m., Alice was woken up by the vibrating phone under her pillow.

She didn't mute it for fear of missing emergency calls from her mother.

She saw a strange number and picked it up. At such late hours, it couldn't be a pitch call.

"Where are you?"

The male voice was familiar to her ears, but she couldn't place it.

Getting no reply, Caper added, "Room 8620, ring a bell?"

She sat up instantly and took a glance at the two beds across from hers.

Cindy and Leah were not woken up whereas Molly's bed was empty. She still hadn't come back.

Alice lowered her voice, "What do you want?"

"You."

She didn't get it for a moment. When the information sank in, she almost threw her phone away in her anger!

"If you don't have anything important to say, I'll hang up!"

In his dedicated hotel room, the man was standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and overlooking the glamorous night view with a cigarette between his fingers.

Caper didn't rush to reply. He knew that she dared not hang up.

"Come to room 8620, I want to see you."

Alice held back her anger, "What makes you think you'll see me as you like? Who do you think you are? Do you know what time it is?"

He hung up without replying.

"Nuts!"

Before she could put her phone down, Caper sent over a message attached with a picture.

The sight of the photo made her skin crawl!

"Bastard!" She cursed in a low voice.

There was a line of text in his message, "I have a lot of such photos on my phone. Come or not, it's your call."

Now that he threatened her with the photos of them in bed, she had to give in.

Alice fumed, quickly got out of bed, put on her clothes, gingerly closed the door, and went out.

...

An hour later, Alice showed up at the door of Caper's room.

She stood there for a full five minutes and then rang the doorbell.

Around ten seconds later, the door opened.

Dressed in black silk pajamas, Caper looked mysterious and low-key, but the air about him was unapproachable.

"What are you waiting for? Come in." He said coldly and turned away.
