Chapter 6 Personal Nutritionist
Gabrielle looked at the man's back, and her whole body was frozen.
Whey protein allergy...
This term was too familiar to her.
She herself was a whey protein allergic person, but she had made a habit of avoiding anything allergic early. She hadn't had an attack for so many years that she had forgotten her allergy, which was connected with the past self.
It was out of her expectation that Ben and Joyce's daughter would have the same allergy.
How could it be such a coincidence?
After the accident, Gabrielle was in no mood to eat at all. Then the notice came that the interview in the afternoon was rescheduled for tomorrow morning.
Gabrielle gathered herself and comforted Jacky, "Jacky, don't blame yourself. Mommy knows that you just wanted to be nice to Rachel. Even I do not know that Rachel is allergic to milk, let alone you."
Jacky had been withdrawn and sensitive since he was younger. Doctors said he tended to be mildly autistic, but the good news was that he could be cured thanks to the fact that he aged slowly.
It was because of this that Gabrielle had been paying extra attention to Jacky.
Hearing her words, he just moved his fingertips slightly and kept his head down in silence.
Gabrielle knew that he was still blaming himself.
Without knowing what to say, Gabrielle could only gently embrace and assure him in a soft voice with her chin against his forehead, "Mom knows you are worried about Rachel. I'll take you to see her. She will be fine."
Jacky finally raised his head and replied, "okay."
The next early morning, Gabrielle arrived in time at the villa where the interview was arranged.
She was applying for a job as a personal nutritionist.
Apart from decent pay, this job allowed her to have relatively more free time, making it convenient to take care of the children, and most importantly, she could do what she wanted to do.
For example, revenge.
"Mr.Ben, the doctor said that Rachel could be discharged today."
"Okay."
"The dietitian who applied for the job has arrived."
"Okay."
At the sound of the voice, Gabrielle stood up straight and looked at the stairway.
A man with a tall and slim figure fixed his cuff links while walking down.
As he saw her, the look in his eyes changed abruptly.
"It's you again?" Ben furrowed his eyebrows. It was already the third time he saw this woman in two days. He was certain that this woman was close to him on purpose!
Gabrielle replied in a composed manner, "Mr. Taylor, good morning. My name is Gabrielle, and I'm here to apply for a job as a personal nutritionist."
When she said her name, her fingertips curled slightly.
'Ben, did you remember the name?'
Gabrielle...
The moment he heard the name, Ben stiffened and stared at her in shock.
"What is your name?"
His voice was a little hoarse as well as nervous.
He heard what Gabrielle said, but he could not believe it.
Gabrielle's fingertips trembled gently. She quickly calmed down and said while looking straight at the man's eyes, "Gabrielle."
Since she had chosen a path of revenge, there was no reason to retreat.
Four years ago, Ben destroyed her. Now, she wanted to avenge herself by getting close to him and destroying the things he cherished with her own hands.
For example, his career or his family.
Why should her girl be alone in heaven while the culprit enjoyed a successful career and a happy family? It was not fair!
"Gabrielle," Ben murmured and stared at the woman in front of him without a blink.
She gave him the impression that she resembled Gabrielle the first time he saw her. What surprised him more now was that her name was also Gabrielle.
Was this a coincidence or a conspiracy?
Ben took a sharp breath and suddenly stepped forward, grabbing the woman's wrist tightly and pulling her closer.
He gazed at her eyes and asked in a cold voice, "Who the hell are you?"
