All of a sudden, Gabrielle regained her senses and caught Joyce's wrist.

"Are you talking to me?" She cast a sword-like glance at Joyce with an imposing aura.

Joyce replied with a glare in pain, "Let go of me..."

The fury in her eyes was suddenly gone in the face of Gabrielle's gaze.

Why did her eyes look so familiar?

"Who the hell are you?" Joyce looked with shock at the woman standing before her. Why did she feel so much like Gabrielle?

"I'm Gabrielle Zane," Gabrielle gently released Joyce's wrist with a vague smile.

"Gabrielle?" Joyce opened her eyes wide with surprise, "How can it be possible? You are not Gabrielle."

Gabrielle, in her memory, could not rival the woman present, both in terms of appearance and voice. So how could she be Gabrielle? And the real Gabrielle should have been...

There was a touch of suspicion in Joyce's eyes. She rubbed her wrist while sternly commanding the maid, "What are you still standing there for? Take Miss Rachel to her room to change into clean clothes!"

"I'm not going!" Rachel held Gabrielle's arm and glared at Joyce, "Bad woman, don't bully mommy!"

Gabrielle smiled and stroked Rachel's head, "Rachel, the dinner is ready. Change into clean clothes and wash your hands first, okay?"

Rachel instantly agreed, "Okay, Mommy."

Gabrielle was indeed into this little domicile girl.

"Is your name Gabrielle?" Joyce's face was full of vigilance and suspicion.

Gabrielle answered in a steady voice, "Yes."

"No, you are lying." Joyce stared at her as if she could see through her.

Gabrielle curved her lips without arguing anymore.

She was clear what Joyce meant, but she had no intention to argue with Joyce about her identity.

Ben was the one to blame for her misfortunes.

She just wanted to revenge on him, not Joyce.

Although Joyce was partly responsible for her misery, there could have been another woman. After all, it was Ben who cheated on her, who almost killed her, who was to blame for her daughter's death!

Her revenge was all about Ben.

But Joyce intended to involve herself in this business.

"Bitch! What's that look on your face? Do you think I have no idea why you're trying to deceive Rachel?" Joyce abruptly grabbed Gabrielle's hair and ridiculed viciously, "You attempt to seduce Ben by using Rachel, right?"

The tingling feeling in her scalp aroused Gabrielle's anger, who counterattacked by clasping Joyce's wrist.

There was a click!

"Ah!"

As her wrist was dislocated, Joyce screamed in pain and loosened her hand.

Gabrielle gasped Joyce's wrist and looked at her with a sympathetic expression, "Miss Smith, sorry to disappoint you. I'm too tough to be bullied."

She used to be so kind that she silently put up with Joyce's bullying. Now, she, as a fresh self, would never allow herself to be bullied again.

"You!" Joyce's face twisted in a grimace of pain. She was about to strike back when she saw a figure outside the door. She instantly put on a pitiful look, "Miss Zane, I'm just curious why your name is the same as a person I know. Why do you suddenly get angry and attack me?"

Gabrielle did not reply.

She knew that it was Ben who had returned without a look. Joyce, otherwise, would not have acted like this.

"What are you doing?" Ben asked in a cold tone.

Gabrielle's hands quivered with fear.

Ben seemed to be standing behind her, for his aggressive gaze made her feel as if a viper was crawling up her back.

Gabrielle's body stiffened.
