There were rival drug gangs lurking the streets of Harlem, although Rudy was the godfather. They all paid a homage of 15% of their profits to Rudy in exchange for staying and doing business in the city; who ever would not pay had to face the music Rudy would orchestrate. Kane was aware of this. When he woke finally from the episode with Jessica, he remembered again that he was out of a job. It burned him to think of being idle again, although this time he was being paid to be idle. He felt worthless. He hated his brother.

His head ached from having all that cocaine and struggling with Jessica; he had some aspirin and drank a lot of water. He was finally sober after such a long night. He was going to apologize to Rudy. He took a shower, put on nice clothes and left his room in search of Rudy.

Rudy was at the office, giving out orders on the days business; he had already appointed someone else in Kane's place to oversee shipments.

'Hey there bro' Kane hailed Rudy, standing at the entrance to Rudy's office.

'Hi, Kane' Rudy said looking up from his work and taking off his glasses. He was surprised to see Kane, looking decent and calm. 'Come in, don't just stand there' Rudy continued.

Kane stepped into the office, and shut the door. 'You know, I had such a wild time last night' Kane said chuckling.

'Yes, i'm aware, I had to come help you out a bit, I got someone to clean out your room, it was filthy and you were there wasted and passed out' Rudy said smiling at his brother; 'and what on earth did you do that lady?' Rudy asked Kane;

'What lady?' Kane asked, turning his gaze away from his brother.

'I saw a lady running from your room, scared as hell' Rudy said, raising an eyebrow at his brother;

'Nothing much, it was just a bad session' Kane explained, giving his brother a look to end the discussion. 'Well, that's not why i'm here anyway, I want my job back bro, I can't stay idle, it sucks'. Rudy looked at his brother squinting;

'I thought you missed me and came to say hello' Rudy said in a sarcastic tone. Kane rolled his eyes and waited for his brother to give a proper response.

'Well I can't let you back in just yet bro, you'd keep taking out of the stash and eventually run the company to the ground, we have so many competitors hoping for us to be out of the way, let's not let that happen' Rudy explained.

Kane stared at his brother in disbelief, he was sure Rudy will let him back in without a second thought;

'What do you expect me to do to keep busy then?' Kane asked angrily;

'I don't know bro, figure something out; it's way better than having us go bankrupt because i'm trying to keep you busy. It will be worse if we went bankrupt, then there will be no job and no money; It's best this way for the both of us' Rudy told his brother.

Kane got up, obviously not satisfied with his brother's response and headed towards the door angrily.

'All love bro' Rudy said to his brother on his way out. Kane slammed the door.

'Yea, there he go, always slamming doors' Rudy said under his breath.

Kane was devastated. 'obviously, he doesn't love me, the self absorbed bastard' Kane thought, heading to another spot in search of his friends.

He dismissed his chauffeur for the day, it was barely 12 PM;

'You're good boss?' his chauffeur asked;

'Yes, i'm just going no where else, you can go home to your girlfriend';

His chauffeur smiled and thanked his boss. Soon after Kane was sure his chauffeur had gone out of sight, he drove himself to a certain location. He drove 2 hours to get there. It was rival territory; on seeing the strange vehicle drive into the premises, a lot of mobsters came out from different corners cocking and pointing their guns at the vehicle; Kane stopped the car, and raised his hands up, showing them that he came in peace. He was ordered out of the vehicle and searched thoroughly and identified himself as Kane, Rudy's second in command; word hadn't gone out yet that he had been relieved. He asked to see their boss Hybrid.

'Please wait here sir' one of the men said. Kane was shown respect, realizing he was affiliated to Rudy who was the godfather; Hybrid and his gang all paid royalties to Rudy.

Kane waited for some time and was later shown into a huge empty warehouse where Hybrid waited impatiently for Kane. He had paid his dues that month, so he was wondering what on earth would have brought Kane there; it had to be business, big business.

'Hello amigo', Kane greeted Hybrid, beaming with a smile. Hybrid kept a straight face, 'I come in peace' Kane said when he noticed Hybrid was skeptical about his presence.

'Welcome buddy, can I offer you anything? Tea? Perhaps?' Hybrid asked.

'I'm fine bro, I only came for business, I won't take much of your time'. Kane said.

Hybrid nodded, 'Okay?'

'I can have you collect more than 60% of the stash at my brothers warehouse' Kane said coldly.

'What do you mean?' Hybrid asked Kane.

'I mean what I said' Kane continued. 'The bastard who happens to be my brother, kicked me out of the business because I took only a pinch of stash for my personal use, I will love to show him that I can have all of it if I liked' Kane said salty.

Hybrid was quiet for sometime, and then he asked Kane why he would trust him? 'If you can do this to your own twin, you can do worse to me' Hybrid was refusing.

'You didn't offend me, my brother did' Kane said, staring coldly at Hybrid. Hybrid finally cracked a smile.

'Okay? I'm listening, what's the plan?'.
