“Are you here for an interview or my boss,” she inquired lifting her upper lip in disgust.

“Am here for both.” she beamed smiling from ear to ear.

After a series of questions, Charles assistant closes the files on her desk and look up at the lady.

“I will get back to you.” She stated and the lady grabbed her bag and sashay out of the room.

“Next!” She yelled and another lady entered.

Charles sits in his office sweating profusely, using his handkerchief to clean his face.

“I nearly had a heart attack down there, all this won’t be happening if my assistant didn’t decide to quit,” he muttered underneath his breath.

Gomez and ken landed at the airport, and carry their luggage out of the airport to take a taxi.

“Gomez, why are you in a hurry where are you going?” Ken ask raising a brow.

“Am going to a job interview am already late.” She muttered.

“With your luggage, you just arrive in Los Angeles and you are already looking for a job.” ken remarks.

“I came here because of the job.” She declared and Ken look at her with narrowed eyes and a man, wearing a black suit, walk out of a BMW car and run to them.

“Are you miss Gomez Cole?” he inquired.

“Yes,” she replied and the man take her luggage from her.

“Mrs Arthur sent me to you to take your luggage to the apartment, I will first drop you at the company he said opening the door of the car for her.

She walks into the car and waves ken goodbye, he waves back and they drive away.

At the company

It’s remaining only two ladies to interview Charles personal assistant walk out of the interview room, she was looking worried. She dialled Mrs Arthur’s number.

“Hello Mrs Arthur the interview is almost over and there is still no sign of her,” she stated

“Don’t worry she is on her way, I just got information from my driver that he is taking her to the company.” Mrs Arthur stated.

“Okay ma, I delay the interview a little bit for her.” She muttered and cut the call.

She walks into Charles office and stare at him, he was starring at his laptop. And his gaze landed on her.

“Have you finished with the interview?” Charles inquired looking keenly at her.

“No not yet,” she replied

“Then what are you doing here?” he asks coldly.

“I just came to check if you are okay, I have only two ladies left to interview,” she replied

“Out of the ladies you have interviewed so far have you seen the one that suits your taste,” he asked with his eyebrows slightly raised.

“Not really there are all here for their own selfish reasons,” she stated

“Then that means you don’t have to leave me sooner than we expected,” Charles muttered.

“Don’t worry am confident, I will find the one I like today,” she assured smiling from ear to ear.

Gomez arrive at the company and walk inside, she walk to an employee who was taking papers from the printing machine.

“Please where is the interview being held?” she asks

“Are you sure you are here for the interview?” He asks raising a brow.

“Of course,” she replied and lift her hand to look at her wristwatch.

“I think you will have to live the interview is over,” he stated striving to leave.

“Wait please tell me, I came from a really far place,” she muttered

“If you will give me some money, I will tell you, he said with a grin.

“Are you asking me to bribe you?” she ask raising questioning eyebrows.

“Of course nothing goes for nothing.” he shrugged smiling, Gomez reach into her bag and bring money handling it to him, as he was about to take the money Charles assistant came and take the money from Gomez.

“Are you Gomez?” she inquired.

“Yes I am,” she replied softly.

“Keep your money and come with me,” she commanded leading her to the interview room, Gomez look back and sticks out her tongue to the employee and he glares at her.

“Why were you trying to give him money.” Charles assistant asks.

“Oh, he was going to tell me where to go for the interview,” Gomez replied

“Don’t mind him, he sees every opportunity as a way to make money.” She stated.

They arrive at the interview room and Charles personal assistant finish interviewing the ladies and its Gomez turn, she stands up from the waiting chair and walk to Charles personal assistant’s desk and sit in a chair in front of her.

“How old are you?” she inquired.

“Am 23 years old,” Gomez replied.

“How can you contribute to the company?” she inquired.

“I can contribute immensely by applying my knowledge and helping in designing new sneakers,” she assured.

“Wow you are hired, can I see your CV (curriculum vitae).”

“I have sent it to your email,” Gomez replied confidently.

“I will go check it out but secondly come with the hard copy tomorrow and give it to my boss.” she declared.

“Okay,” Gomez muttered.

“Come with me to the restroom, I have something to tell you.” She said in a low tone and Gomez follow her to the restroom. Charles assistant scanned the place with her eyes and lock the door.

“I hope I can trust you with this, this place is soundproof.” she informed

“Am really good at keeping secrets, you can tell me,” Gomez assured smiling brightly.

“The thing is my boss, is allergic to humans,” she stated and Gomez burst into laughter.

“You are kidding me right?” Gomez ask amidst laughter

“Am damn serious and no matter what you do always stay four feet away from him, you can’t make physical contact with him and you have to protect him from other people,” she declared.

“Gosh! what kind of sickness is that.” Gomez grin putting her hand on her face.

“I know you are very curious, but no matter what you do, don’t try to touch him I beg of you,” she whispered.

“I won’t,” Gomez assured crossing her fingers behind her back.

“This is the reason, he doesn’t attend meeting physically and you don’t need to get food for him, his cook at home handles that, you can only make coffee for him wearing a hand glove and make sure you wear nose mask and hand gloves at all times when you are around him.” she declared.
