Chapter 8 Mary's Wounds...

The intrusion of Stella sent the Yeates into confusion. But soon they came to their senses.

Senior Mistress Yeates spoke up, "Sherwood girl, this is a family matter and none of your business. Get the hell out of here!"

Stella tittered, "Mary is my sister. You bully my sister; do you have a death wish?"

Concerning her status, Talbot spoke in a comparatively polite tone, "Stella, this is a family matter. Mary is not obedient, so as her uncle, I taught her a lesson, which is beyond reproach. No matter what, you can't get a hand in it. Come on, give back my whip."

"Indeed, bitch, give back the whip to my dad."

Mandy shouted with dissatisfaction.

At that, Stella whipped Mandy, "Who is the bitch?"

"Ouch!"

Mandy was taken off guard and hit on the arm. Out of pain, she screamed.

Senior Mistress Yeates witnessed the attack, felt distressed for her granddaughter, pointed at the bodyguards, and bellowed, "Teach her a lesson. This is Yeates' rather than Sherwood's house!"

"Senior Mistress Yeates, I'm afraid you can't teach my sister a lesson."

Quentin had been standing at the door for quite a while. With a cold look, he strode in.

People finally noticed the junior master of Sherwood Family was also here.

Talbot changed countenance. Compared with Yeates Family, Sherwood Family was equally powerful.

The only difference was that Sherwood and Lambert families were connected through marriage. This was a big advantage.

Mary looked up at Quentin.

"Mary." Quentin reached out to pat her on the head, "Don't be afraid. I will take you to the hospital."

Mary forced a smile, "Quentin, thank you."

From the door, Barry witnessed the scene and felt uncomfortable as if his heart was pricked.

"Junior Master Sherwood."

Talbot's brows furrowed, "I meant no harm to your sister, but how could a callow girl meddle with our family issue?"

At that, Quentin came to his senses and glanced at the man, "According to seniority, I should call you uncle, but you didn't quite act like a senior."

"By the way, I'm here today to pick up Mary. My parents told me about Mary's bad mood for the demise of her parents, and Stella treats Mary like a sister. So, we are going to take Mary to our home for a couple of days." At the sight of the wounds on Mary's body, Quentin paused, "It's just Mary's wounds..."

"Are you threatening me?" Talbot unhappily looked Quentin in the eye. Although he didn't want to offend Sherwood Family, he wouldn't concede if they became his obstacles to great fortune.

Talbot spoke with discontent, "Mary belongs to Yeates Family. Why is she going to Sherwood's home? I'm her uncle and I make the call."

Quentin retorted calmly, "Mary is a grown-up and doesn't need a guardian."

"Even so, you can't take Mary away." Talbot wouldn't yield an inch.

"What if I must take her away?"

"Then don't blame me for being rude."

Quentin arched his brow and spoke in a playful tone, "Huh, I'd like to see your rudeness."

"Junior Master Lambert!"

A fight was on the verge of breaking out when someone shouted.

Following that, everyone moved his eyes to Barry, the legendary Crown Prince admired by countless girls in Sunderland.

Many maids' eyes lit up instantly, and they stared at the renowned man with rosy cheeks.

Flora and Mandy behaved more exaggeratedly.

"B, Barry?"

Quickly adjusting her dress, Flora walked happily towards Barry.

"Barry, you are back."

Regardless of the reserved manner as a lady, Mandy beat her sister to rush up and reach for Barry's arm.
