Chapter 5 Airport Encounter
"But Serena the coward wouldn’t dare to come back here."
"Huh, then I'm relieved." The little girl patted her chest with a gesture of relief. Her worried look disappeared immediately, and she smiled and took the boy's arm.
"Then Ian, can we go to the food court to eat delicious food?"
Thinking of the delicious food on the poster, the little girl, Doris Smith, was drooling.
The little boy, Ian Smith, showed a look of disgust, "We didn't come back secretly for food. You’re drooling, and it's so dirty." As he said, he took out a clean handkerchief and wiped the saliva from the corner of his younger sister's mouth.
"Can we wait until you find our godfather before we go to eat something delicious?"
Doris pouted cutely, looking pitifully at Ian like a serious adult.
"Ian, please!"
"Okay, I'm terrified of you." Ian frowned seriously but quickly compromised despite his disapproval.
"Well, I'm really worried that someone can abduct you with a lollipop."
"It won’t happen!" Doris shook her head quickly. She stretched out two chubby fingers and said with her eyes shining brightly, "It takes two lollipops."
Ian, "..."
He deeply felt that it was a mistake to take his foodie sister to Chester City with him.
Was it too late to send her back now?
Ian sighed, held his sister's little hand tightly, and left the airport lobby with the flow of people.
"William, what are you looking at?" A woman complained gently, and her slender hand shook in front of William.
William withdrew his gaze, and the warmth in his eyes turned cold.
"Let's go." William didn't even look at the woman next to him, then turned around and left.
"William, don't walk so fast. Wait for me." The hot coquettish woman stomped her foot and quickly caught up with him in grievances.
When leaving the airport, William couldn't help looking back in the direction where the brother and sister were leaving. He was a little disappointed not to see the two cute kids.
"William?"
"You go back first. I have something to do at the company. I’m going to handle it." William said in a cold voice as if he hadn't seen the woman's aggrieved face. He quickly threw her off, got in the car, and left.
The black convoy was as graceful as a dragon and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
It was half-past eight in the evening.
During the night, pedestrians hurried, and traffic was jammed.
The driver looked in the rearview mirror from time to time, and his eyes were full of worry.
He was very regretful now.
If he had known that today was the annual food festival in the food court, he would not have chosen to go this way.
After another five minutes, when the driver was distraught, the man in the back seat, resting with closed eyes, opened his eyes slowly.
His cold, sharp black eyes swept across the long convoy outside the window.
"What is going on?"
"Sorry, Mr. William, I forgot that there had been activities in the food court in recent days."
"Food court?" Something flashed in William's mind, and his fingers tapped the leather seat lightly.
After a few minutes, the traffic finally started to move on at the speed of a crawling snail, of course.
On the pedestrian sidewalk, a panicked man ran out of the crowd holding a child. His face was full of anxiety and worry, and he kept yelling, "Please make way, my daughter is sick. I’m taking her to the hospital!"
When people heard him say this, they quickly made way for him.
The man came to the road smoothly, and the passing vehicles also subconsciously avoided him.
This was originally a trivial matter, so small that William couldn't care about it.
However, when the car started, William accidentally saw a familiar children's watch out of the corner of his eye.
"Stop the car!"William ordered it without thinking, and the driver subconsciously stopped.
"Mr. William..."
"Boom!" As soon as the driver said it, William opened the door and rushed down.
"Mr. William!" The driver quickly followed him out of the car and left the car directly in the middle of the road.
