Chapter 4 Identification Center

Felix was wearing a handmade custom suit. Under the morning sunlight, his face looked stunning. The air about him was awful and kingly.

Colby hurriedly bowed and told him the story.

Felix's brow furrowed. To his greatest surprise, his son showed such sympathy and kindness to a stranger. Had he limited William's contact with Mia too much?

He looked at his son, who was like a mini-version of himself, and compromised, "Your mother will come to Lynch City next month. I'll let her spend some quality time with you."

"I don't like that woman." William rejected immediately.

"She is your mother."

"No." William's face was filled with repulsion, as if he would run away from home once his father let that woman get close to him.

Felix was surprised. Looked like Mia failed to be a good mother.

...

It was almost noon when Chelsea returned to Jenkins's house.

There were things she must confirm in person.

Kris was running around in the play room, accidentally tripped on the carpet, and fell.

"Kris!"

Chelsea immediately rushed over and held him in her arms. It was her instinctive response as a mother for so many years.

Even though he might not be her child…

As soon as Kris saw her, his face fell, and he hammered her, "Bad Mother, you lied to me. You promised to take me to the amusement park today!"

As her wound was touched, Chelsea gasped and endured the pain, "Kris, I'm sorry. I was caught in something. I promise I won't stand you up again."

Kris wouldn't listen and even kicked up a row, "Mommy never lies to me! You're a bad mother!"

"Mommy?" Her sensitive nerves were poked, and her face fell, "Who is your mommy?"

Kris often muttered mommy and mom alternately. In the past, she didn't think much about it. Now she suddenly realized one thing. His mommy might be Elise!

No wonder Kris punched and kicked her at times for no reason. Looked like someone had been teaching him!

This was great!

Scared by her action, Kris cried, "Mommy! Where are you? I want my mommy!"

The boy had always been the apple of her eye, and she was distressed to see him cry. However, what Elise said earlier echoed in her mind.

"The one you gave birth to was a girl!"

Chelsea pursed her lips and plucked Kris's hair for a paternity test. What if Elise just intended to drive a wedge between Kris and her?

She put away the hair, called over the servant, and hastened to the identification center.

Nora looked at the leaving figure and quickly took out her cell phone to make a call.

...

The nurse collected relevant information and left. On tenterhooks, Chelsea paced back and forth.

She did the test in the name of the deceased patriarch and only needed to wait for seven, eight hours for the result.

With a heavy heart, she waited at the door, fearing that Elise might know and come here to cause trouble.

When it was getting dark, the report came out.

Chelsea hurriedly flipped to the last page and felt dizzy as soon as she saw the result.

Kris was not her son!
