Chapter Four

"That has to be the most dangerous and chance meeting ever,"

Amelia announced as she entered Olivia's room, the room was huge with a big queen size bed in the middle and a huge mirror with huge wardrobes where her numerous clothes and accessories are kept, the room was a fairy tale, and compared to hers which was painted in Sea blue, Olivia's room was adorned in white and pink, with lots of glitters, she had a huge photo of her hanging in the room, Amelia looked around searching for her twin.

"Liv? Where are you?"

She called.

"Over here, Lia,"

Her twin replied from the balcony, yup her room had a balcony, they both shared it and as kids, they get off their rooms at night and spent time together on the balcony, it has been one of their traditions while growing up, they bonded over snacks and sweets since most of the time during the day they were either having different schedules as Liv had modeled when she was younger.

"What are you doing?"

"Setting this place up, I figured it's been a while we hanged out like this and we have a lot to catch up on, we have been so busy lately that we rarely talk except over the phone and I wanna have talks with you, I miss us,"

Her twin said.

"Well, we literally see each other and talk most of the time, you are making it sound like we never talk,"

Amelia replied, sitting down with her twin, she admit that she miss them being together and talking for hours too but she understands, they were both adults now and have different schedules and obligations and Olivia getting married will only make it worst, she just hope they can still be close.

"That's supposed to be my line Lia, you are the caring one, I am the one who doesn't give a fuck and is always away, I am sorry twinnie,"

Liv said.

"It's okay, I understand, we are both busy, and it's so thoughtful of you to think about this,"

She said before realizing this might be a bribe.

"Wait Liv? Is this some kind of bribe? For making me act like you?"

"What no, what kind of person do you take me for?"

"A corny human,"

"Whatever you say, how was it like meeting Nicholai in broad daylight? The last time you guys met was evening, he is heavenly isn't he?"

"No, he is nothing heavenly, please don't put me in that situation ever again."

"It wasn't my fault though, I didn't know Nicholai was interested in arts,"

"He is not, he bought the property,"

Amelia revealed, no wonder Nicholai said Liv never show interest in his business.

"Oh, that's what he was talking about, wow,"

"Seriously Liv?"

"Excuse me twinnie, I will go get our lunch, I ordered takeout,"

She announced leaving Amelia by herself, her twin was impossible, Amelia thought about her chance meeting with Nicholai and decided she didn't want to meet him again, she just didn't like his aura even though he was super gorgeous and smelled nice, she couldn't stay in his presence for long, she will possibly lose her mind.

"So, how did it go?"

Liv asked coming back to the balcony bearing their lunch,"

"Don't ask me Liv and don't make me do that again, it wasn't fun,"

"Why Nick is nice, you just need to get to know him,"

"I will, maybe if I met him as your sister and not you then I might see the nice side, pretending to be you, God that's the hardest thing I had to do,"

"Oh please, you are being dramatic,"

"I am not,"

"Well, don't worry it won't happen again,"

"Thank God,"

Amelia said as she started eating the food in front of her, she didn't realize just how hungry she was until she started eating.

"Mom and dad are coming back tomorrow,"

Olivia said when they were done eating.

"I know, I saw the message on the group chat,"

They had a family group chat where they dropped an important announcement but they barely talk there, and her parent's flight was delayed till tomorrow morning, she wished it could be delayed to next week, she still needed breathing space, but they were coming back because they needed to meet Olivia's finance.

"I don't know how they are going to feel about Nick,"

She said and Amelia had to laugh.

"Why are you laughing?"

"You are funny dear, you think mom and dad aren't gonna like Nicholai, are you for real? They will love him, they are materialistic people,"

"True, but that's not what I meant, you know Nick is self-made and dad is a hand me down, billionaire,"

"I wish I can see dad's face when he hears your way that,"

"I am saying the truth,"

"Don't worry, I am sure they will like him,"

"Okay, but I don't want you and Nick to meet until after the wedding, can you keep being invisible till then? I know I sound weird asking you to but I have my reasons,"

"Can I ask why?"

"No,"

"Fine, it's your choice, I don't like meeting people either so good for me,"

"That's why I love you twinnie, you are the best,"

Liv said hugging Amelia as they say and watching the sunset, they talked far into the night before they retired to their respective bedroom...

****

Welcome, mom and dad,"

Her twin let out excitedly as they stood aside the next day to welcome their parents home, Amelia wasn't excited at all, in fact, she didn't want to be here but Liv had talked her into staying and welcoming their parents, she didn't have anywhere in particular that she had to be, well except going over to the museum to sign so that her work can be displayed on the day of the exhibition, that won't take up to thirty minutes to do, after that she would just walk around town until it was time to sleep, she wasn't ready to face her parents.

"And the other lady can't even bother to frame happiness,"

Her mom let out.

"Welcome back, hope you had a great trip,"

She finally said she wasn't in the mood to be a good girl.

"We you can see we did,"

"That's good then, I need to go, see you later Liv,"

She said to her twin turning towards where her car was parked.

"Why is she so different and why am I her mother?"

She heard her mom ask to which her dad left and her twin just told their mom it was because she didn't know her, she left them there, she drove first to the art gallery where she meant the attendant she had met on the first day she went there.

"Hi, Alex, I came to sign those papers, I got the call,"

"Oh, Miss, Mills, good to see you, congratulations,"

"Thanks, Alex, which way do I go?"

"That way, you look beautiful by the way,"

"Thank you, Alex, you look good too,"

She said and knocked at the door Alex's had shown her, she met with the manager, it's didn't take long for her to sign all the legal papers and she was out of there, she didn't want to go home as she knew her mom will nag her, so she decided to just drive around town and do some window shopping and also use the opportunity to visit a few art galleries around the city to check out their new addition, most of the galleries around the area knew her as she was a not so regular but still regular visit, she stopped by Starbucks and got lunch, when it was after three pm, she decided she has had enough and drove home, she sneaked into her room not wanting to meet with her parents, she took and bath and went to sleep...

A knock on her door woke her from sleep and she prayed it won't be any of her parents especially her mom, she went to the door, thankfully it was one of the help.

"Yes?"

"Your mom said to tell you to come downstairs for dinner,"

She revealed.

"Tell her I am not hungry,"

She responded leaving no room for argument, the help left and she went back to lay down, she wasn't going to let her mom talk her down, she knew that was what will happen if she goes downstairs, she planned on avoiding her parents as much as she could, they were going to ask her where her husband is and why she can't just be like her sister, she didn't want to hear them talk her down all in the name of advice.

"Not today,"

She whispered to herself and went back to bed...
