ALARIC'S POV

  At first, I thought she would freak out when I show her my tattoo. I was about to cover my hands back when she began to move closer like there was something connecting her to it. Of course, there is this huge connection between us as long as she remains my mate!

  You can see my tattoo?" She asked unsure as to if she was trying to see if she is not imagining it.

    I nodded and smiled at her, there was nothing I could do at that moment as Apex kept jumping for joy. If not for the fact that I had him trapped, I would have been trying to force myself not to shift. The only same thing I could do was keep smiling for a while before i brought out my right arm for a handshake.

   "My name is Alaric," I said.

  "I am Miranda" she removed her hand from the apron pocket and accepted my arm "I don't really have friends except for my colleagues but they call me Mira" she blab  "Never mind, Miranda is okay" she added in a low whisper.

   I couldn't stop staring at her mint green eyes, they were just too good to ignore. Apex at the other end kept pleading and whining, he wants me to pull her to myself and sniff her but that would be more than creepy.

   The last time I let him lead and sniffed her hand, I know how freaked out she was. If I was able to read her mind, I would have been able to hear all manner of ill stuff.

   Let me stop putting all the blame on poor Apex, I literally want to be able to sniff her hair again. I want her peppermint, sunflower, and rain smell.

   I want to feel relief and calm again.

As I stared deeply into her green eyes, I raised her lips to my face then closed my eyes. Since I can not actually sniff her hair in public and not freak her out, planned on sniffing her hand so I brought it close to my lips and closed my eyes.

   "May I?" I asked.

   "Sure?" She replied quite unsure.

  Immediately she gave that reply, I raised the back of her hand to my face and sniffed her hand.

   I feel Apex rejoiced and groan softly. Her smell is all I need and it relaxes me more than the fresh coffee she makes for me. I took another long sniff and opened my eyes.

   No one needs to tell me about Apex because I felt he surfaced, I just couldn't control him at that moment as all kept thinking about is to claim her. My wish is to stick my fangs in her again and mark her so no one would ever want to fall into my trap and touch her.

   Did I mention biting her again?

I know I might be such a nasty person but I still can't get to tell how I did bit her the first time.

  It happened that when I first set my eyes on her years ago, I couldn't get to control my wolf as I was more than weak. Immediately she tried to help me, Apex stung her with his fangs and that's what came out with the first tattoo.

    Although it still feels weird of how a human can get such a tattoo from my bite I don't want to question the moon goddess too much. I've pleaded that she gives me a very beautiful mate and one that has honey Brown Hair like my Mom.

  The look on her face was like the very first time I set my eyes on her. She wasn't scared, not even surprised or any other facial expressions, she just stared at my eyes with her mouth wide open and I know what had happened.

  Since Apex had taken over, I didn't remember to get my eyes color under control as I would before. Well, there is nothing to hide so I let her enjoy the view while it lasts.

   "Alpha!!!" I heard someone say.

  We both turned to see a man staring at my wrists like there was something so important about the tattoo.

  Apex growled, no one needs to tell me that he is a werewolf, a Delta for that matter.

   "Alpha!" He said again this time in pure happiness before he lowered his head and stayed low.

   At first, I didn't want to do like what he was doing mattered but with the look on Mira's face, I knew that I have to do something but Apex wasn't helping.

  In fact, he likes the way the delta wolf remains as he wasn't bothered how the wolf had found me. I can't believe I had stayed hidden for eight years to be discovered by a mere Delta wolf and he was more than happy to find me.

   Since I haven't really mastered how to welcome someone I am just meeting, telling him to raise up became the most difficult thing I have thought of so I left Mira's hand and walked up to him.

   With the fakest smile on my angry face, walked up to him and attempted to hug him but he felt too rigid. He refused my hug with his head bowed.

   "Hey long time no see, Emmy," I said as I forcefully pulled him up "You don't need to keep with such activities," I said through clenched teeth.

   With the way Mira was gazing at us, I suspect that she knows we have nothing together especially as don't know his name.

   "Raise!!" I whispered harshly and he seems to obey.

  I stared back at Mira who kept gazing from me to the man like she wasn't getting what we were doing. We kept staring at ourselves in deep awkward silence as if waiting for a good Samaritan to break the silence.

   "Mira" the man suddenly interrupted "Why not bring his offer" he suggested.

   Mira's mouth opened and closed back without saying anything then she stare at me for help. It's obvious she had forgotten what she was supposed to bring.

   "Coffee," I said "Make sure you make it yourself " I added sternly.

  "Yeah," The man said "Make it as he wants" he added.

   She briefly nodded before heading back to the counter.

  As soon as she was far, I turned to meet the man bowing at me and that alone is more than annoying. Even Apex does not know if he should be angry or happy for what he had always wanted is power. I had always wanted to rule my people as the Alpha and now is my chance but I can't also let that happen.

  One of my brothers till the rule of the kingdom has a rogue king and that alone is more for me. I don't have anyone by my side and if I try to fight, they will definitely kill me.

    "You much be mistaking me for someone else," I said awkwardly.

  Immediately he raised his head up to stare at my wrist. His eyes were glued to my hand for a while before he walked to my favorite spot and pulled out the chair for me but I took another one instead. I ignored Apex's whining and stared at him in total confusion.

   "The whole park awaits your return" he started "Even the Moon goddess told me that I would find you here but with your mate our Luna" he paused for a while then moved closer "Is it Miranda?" He asked in a harsh whisper.

   At first, I wanted to lie badly but at the same time, I don't. It's indeed a huge relief that my park had been waiting for me.

   "Miranda is my mate" I stated.
