Chapter 5 Did It Still Hurt?
Kevin looked at her without blinking. Her pretty small face and delicate eyebrows were as sweet as he remembered. He subconsciously rolled in his throat and used his low voice to say, "Remember me?"
Emma suddenly recalled what had happened last night in her mind, and her face turned red, "President Miller, you have held several receptions in the hotel. I have met you some times."
She did not know if Kevin remembered what happened last night, perhaps he came here for other things. Anyway, as long as he did not mention it, she could not say it.
She did not dare look at him.
Kevin smiled, ''Only remember before? What about last night?"
He remembered!
Emma stared at him dumbfoundedly.
Ms. Wood was a bit puzzled, and her eyes wandered around between the two, "Emma, would you ask your boss to come in and have a seat?"
Kevin politely said, ''Can you let Emma come out and talk to me? Not far away, just out in the little yard."
Ms. Wood opened her mouth and turned her gaze to Emma, "Do you?"
Kevin looked straight at her, and she could not refuse.
Emma had to say, "OK."
Kevin said, "It is windy outside, put on a coat."
When Emma heard him, she blushed for no apparent reason and softly responded as "Oh". Then she turned back to the room to get her coat.
Ms. Wood was surprised to see them. There was both a doubt and some expectation in her eyes. Did this "boss" treat her daughter...
She looked at Kevin again and marveled in her heart. This young man was so good-looking!
Feeling her gaze, Kevin smiled politely at her. He stuck his hands in his pants pockets and waited by the door.
Emma took her coat and put it on, walking towards the door under her mother's eagerly watching. Kevin saw her coming and turned to walk out, so she followed.
The Woods was a solitary house like the other residents around. The yard was planted with flowers and plants. When the wind blew, the fragrance of the flowers wafted over, making people very comfortable.
Kevin stopped in the middle of the yard and turned to look at her.
Emma stood two paces away, and she uncomfortably reached out and gathered the collar of her coat. She took a breath and asked, "What can I do for you? Is there anything to deal with the work?"
Kevin's dark eyes flickered, and he smiled, "I work at the headquarters of the group, and you work as a small manager at the Kingwood Hotel. If there is any job assignment, it will not be directly assigned from me to you."
It was true. There were many more levels between them, and it was not her turn to receive his requirements directly.
Emma was embarrassed, "Then what else can I do for you?"
Kevin asked playfully, "Are you going to pretend it did not happen?"
Emma said, "What is it?" Yes, she just pretended nothing had happened in order to avoid being questioned by him about what her intentions are.
Kevin stared at her face as if trying to see something on it, but she pursed her lips and looked back with her big eyes that as if to say – I was not going to say anything and saw how you could force it out!
He smiled and suddenly asked, "Does it still hurt?"
Emma said, "Huh?"
Kevin's low voice sounded like it was magnetic, ''I mean, after what happened last night, does it still hurt in the body? If I remember correctly, this is your first time, right?"
He spoke slowly and clearly. Emma could not even pretend to be deaf. Her cheeks instantly turned red, and she stammered, "I...I... I do not know what you are talking about..."
"You should know this thing." He pulled something out of his pocket and spread it out in front of her.
Emma looked and found that it was her glasses!
