Chapter 5 You're not my woman.
Yeates Group.
The two men sat opposite each other, speechless.
The older one, about forty years old, was gauging his guest with a worried look.
"It's not like that! Spend money on a woman for a direct engagement, will such a couple last?"
"You're worthy to talk about me ?"
Baron was sarcastic, not giving face to the other party at all, even if this elderly man was the president of the Yeates Group.
Marcus Yeates was full fifteen years older than Baron, and the two were half brothers.
"One year later, I will come to get back what belongs to me." Baron said faintly.
"You came to me to announce the engagement?" Marcus showed a little anger: ''Listening to your tone, not prepared to have dealings with me and the Yeates family in a year? Baron, don't forget your surname is Yeates too! In your mind, you don't usually think of me as a brother anymore, do you?"
"I can think about it when I get married and when you have a funeral, too."
Baron's mouth was surprisingly poisonous!
No one would know what Yolanda would think if she saw such a side of him.
"Hum!"
After all, Marcus was used to this kind of tone of voice from his brother, and wasn't really angry.
"Even if you get married a year later, according to your father's will, you can take a third of the Yeates Group's shares, but why do you have to transfer it out? Just leave the equity in the group and I'll run Yeates Group, is there any less of a dividend for you?"
The Yeates family was big.
However, all the wealth that Baron had today had nothing to do with the entire Yeates Group. As Marcus' brother, he got a share in the group, but he just couldn't take it out for now.
"A man's money is given either to his parents or to his wife." Baron laughed coldly, "You are neither my old man nor my woman, what are you doing minding my money?"
"You...."
Marcus, who was really dislike his own brother, waved his hand to blow him out.
Standing up, Baron prepared to leave.
"How is it that your face keeps failing to heal?" Marcus couldn't hold it in and asked off the cuff.
On one side of the wall, glass reflected Baron's hideous ghostly face.
"So what if it's cured?" Baron asked rhetorically, "Even if the trauma can be healed, what about the heart injury?"
Marcus was speechless, but seeing that Baron Yestes was about to leave, he hurriedly shouted again, "Can you go to our father's grave and pay your respects?"
In response to him, there was only the sound of a closed door.
........
...........
Inside the villa, Yolanda fidgeted in the living room.
As Baron's fiancee, this was already her 'home'. But compared to this luxurious villa, she felt that the school dormitory was more relaxing for her.
After sobering up, she had many reasons to be nervous.
Her impression of Baron was so vague that she almost only dared to look at him when she was in a drunken state.
She vaguely remembered that he was ugly, but how ugly was he? She forgot.
Also, she and Baron still didn't know much about each other. How to tell him that she was actually a student at Imperial University and should theoretically go back to her dorm room every night to sleep, it was against the law to stay up at night.
As the sky was getting dark, she didn't dare to leave either.
Finally, accompanied by a 'Mr. Yeates is back' from Sebastian, Yolanda hurriedly stood up to greet him.
"Sober?"
These were Baron's first words after seeing Yolanda again.
She kept her head down, her playful face flushed, like a ripe apple.
"Awake......."
"A word of caution." Baron said faintly, "You're a person who doesn't drink very well."
Yolanda's mind seemed to buzz with a bang.
What was he implying? Did something horrific happen after having a drink yesterday and getting drunk by myself?
"Is there...how bad is it?" She asked in a small voice.
"Are you sure you want to know?"
Baron took a bottle of the same spirits as yesterday out of the wine cabinet to the fullness of an entire goblet.
"Drink it, I'll film you and watch the video yourself tomorrow."
