Chapter 7 Confrontation Part 2

Tami cried out, "Dad, it was my sister who pushed my mom. I saw her reaching out her hand."

Following that, she looked up with a provocative expression but asked painfully, "Sis, why did you push my mom down? Why?"

While supporting Lily, William raised his head and snarled towards upstairs, "You wretch, come down here. How could you still look on up there!"

Holding her cell phone, Maggie came downstairs step by step.

Grabbing William's hand, Lily spoke feebly, "Don't blame Mag. Everything in the house is hers for the taking, but if there comes a brother, she will need to share it, so it's reasonable that she doesn't want him."

Nanny Collins brought over a hot towel to wipe Lily's forehead. There was hardly any sweat. In her heart, she thought now the first miss probably would have nothing to inherit from the Johnson family. Whether the child in the hostess's belly would survive or not, mister probably would not give anything to Maggie. Without that, how would she still be so cocky?

By the side, Tami cried to make things worse, "Sis, you are cruel, but what my mom is carrying in her belly is your little brother. How could you push her down for the sake of family fortune?"

Probably because of Tami's loud cry, Old Master Johnson was attracted here.

Leaning on a crutch, Bradley Johnson walked over and immediately saw Lily lying on the floor. There was a pool of blood under her butt. Slightly narrowing his pupils, the old man sounded weathered yet stately, "What is going on?"

Tami beat others to speak, "Grandpa, it's my sister who pushed my mom down the stairs. My sister didn't come back home last night, and my mom asked her a few questions out of concern. Then, she pushed her down."

In front of William, Lily and Tami could use the excuse of family fortune but didn't dare to do that in front of Bradley. Therefore, she mentioned that Maggie didn't come back last night.

Old Master Johnson was senile and could accept some modern things but would not like to see his granddaughter sleeping outside. As expected, the old man slightly frowned and looked up at Maggie.

Maggie smiled at her grandpa calmly.

"You wretch, how could you smile at such a moment!" William bellowed at Maggie.

Old Master Johnson spoke in a deep voice, "William, send her to the hospital first. We'll talk about other things later."

Only then did William panic and bend down to pick Lily up, "I'm taking you to the hospital."

But Lily grabbed his hand, "You... you must give your consent first. Whether we can save the child or not, don't blame Mag."

"Lily, how... how could you be so careless?" Out of anxiety, William was bathed in sweat.

While the couple looked at each other affectionately, Maggie suddenly laughed out.

"Lily, I heard that you used to be an opera singer in your early years and now still like to put on a show. Old habits die hard, I guess."

Lily looked blankly at Maggie. What did she mean? Did she know about her fake pregnancy? Impossible, her trick was flawless, and no one, including William, didn't know about the truth.

Maggie curled up her lips to smile, "Auntie, have you heard a saying that you can't catch a wolf without using your child as bait. At least, you should bear a real child. Are you trying to do it with just a pillow?"

While speaking, she already reached under the hem of Lily's dress and found that pillow. Lily changed countenance and pressed her hand on her belly, "Mag, what... what are you doing?"

"William, William, take me to the hospital, my belly hurts." She looked at William helplessly, "Take me to the Benevolence Hospital in the west of the city. Doctor Larson has been treating my illness."

William glared at Maggie and snapped, "Let go of your auntie."
