>Girlfriend? For Hire!>Chapter 15
Chapter 15
Aiden's Point of View
"Aiden, it's time to wake up," someone shook my shoulder.
My brows furrowed while my eyes were still closed. I covered myself with the blanket and ignored the one who woke me up.
Seriously, I didn't get any sleep last night. When I said let's not think about anything, my mind kept on thinking about Wyatt. And I was imagining- what if Wyatt develops feelings for me? Damn it. I know! My thought is so gay but... Aish! I can't stop thinking about it. If that really happens I don't know what to say. But I'm certain that Wyatt is straight, there is zero chance for him to fall for me. Then, what if I were the one to fall? Gosh!
I'm not gay, either. No, I'm really not sure. It's just... I haven't fallen in love with someone else yet so I don't know. And this is the first time I was bothered because of someone. I mean... Wyatt is absolutely bothersome but... Goodness! Stop thinking already, you stupid mind!
"Aiden~ I cooked for you, wake up now," he continued shaking me.
I heaved a sigh, "Fine. Stop shaking me, I'm getting dizzy."
"Ow~kay! Follow me follow me later h, huh? I'll go out first. By the way, the three eggs are still here," he said.
"Okay," I answered.
I heard the bedroom door open as well as close it. Maybe he came out. I pulled down the blanket that was covering me and glanced at the door. I sighed when I didn't see Wyatt.
I feel fine. I'm not hot anymore, my fever is gone.
I left the room. When I got out of the room, they all turned to me. Hans smiled widely, he even waved at me. I just smiled back before I walked towards them. I sat in the empty seat next to Wyatt.
Today is Saturday, we don't have school. Maybe that's why Hans and others are still here.
"Good morning," Hans greeted me.
Seriously, why is he so friendly towards me?
"Yeah, good morning," I greeted back.
"Let's eat," said Wyatt and began to spoon his food.

"Bye-bye!"
After we ate, the three said goodbye to us to go home. Now Wyatt and I are the only people in the condo. We were sitting on the couch but unlike yesterday, he was far away from me. He doesn't speak either and just focuses on what he's watching. I don't know if he's just not in the mood or if he's mad at me. I'm not used to him being this quiet especially when it's just the two of us.
When I couldn't stand the silence anymore, I turned to him, "Hey," I called him.
He turned to me, "Hmm?"
"Are you mad?" I asked. He just shook his head in response, so I asked again, "Why are you so far away?"
He looked at the TV again, "There's no reason. I just want to."
My eyes shrunk, "You're being suspicious. Seriously, what did I do?"
He heaved a sigh, "I'm not mad, Aiden."
"Why are you so distant if you're not angry?" I asked, starting to get annoyed.
He turned to me with his eyebrows together, "When I'm clingy you get annoyed, when I walk away from you you think I'm angry. Honestly, what do you want?"
I couldn't answer.
And I didn't really think about what to answer. I just turned back to the TV and didn't say anything.
"See? Now that I'm asking you, you're not answering," he said, annoyance is visible in his voice.
I gulped, "Because I don't know what to answer either."
He breathed out heavily, "I don't want to come near you because I might kiss you."
I looked at him when I heard what he said. His head rested on the backrest of the couch as he looked up. His eyes were closed as he continued to rub his nose.
Really... Is he addicted to kissing?
If I were just a girl, I wouldn't hesitate to kiss him too.
"Thank you for taking care of me yesterday," I changed the subject. I don't know how to respond to what he said.
He sat up, "Yeah... By the way, you haven't forgotten my birthday, right?"
I nodded, "Uh-hmm. Next Sunday, right?"
He also nodded, "I'll introduce you to Grandpa. Ready yourself, hmm?"
"Oh, t-that's right," I answered when I remembered that that was what he and his grandfather had talked about. That on his birthday he will introduce his girlfriend to his family. Will his cousins also go? Damn, I hope not.
====
The days passed quickly. Today is Wyatt's birthday. Here we are at the condo, Wyatt just watching me while I put on my wig. Because I don't know how to put makeup on my face, we even went to the beauty parlor. The gay guy who did my makeup was very happy because he said I was beautiful. I didn't say anything because he also thought that Wyatt was really my boyfriend.
"Gorgeous," Wyatt stood up and hugged me from behind.
"Stop it," I frowned.
He giggled, "Why? It's true, ah."
I clicked my tongue, "Don't irritate me, Wyatt."
"I'm not annoying you, I'm just telling the truth," he sighed. "You didn't get mad at the gay guy earlier who told you something nice and then you got upset with me. That's unfair."
"You know I don't talk to people I don't know," I reasoned out.
"Oh?" He let go of the hug, "But you're talking to Hans?"
I turned to him, "I've known him for a long time. That's your friend."
He rolled his eyes, "Whatever."
"Are you jealous?" I tilted my head.
"Yeah, I am," he smirked.
My brows met, "The heck?"
He chuckled, "Let's go?"
I just nodded and we left the condo. Because Wyatt has a car, we quickly arrived at the Five Star Hotel where his birthday party will be held. He's now 20.
When we got out of the car, my chest filled with nervousness. What can I expect from this rich man? There were a lot of guests and they were wearing beautiful clothes. It was obvious that it was expensive. Maybe that's why Wyatt chose a designer dress. He also made me practice wearing heels for a week, so I can pretty much walk in heels now.
As we walked into the hotel, my heart beat faster and faster. My knee is also trembling. When we got people's attention, my grip on Wyatt's arm tightened.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
I nodded, "Y-Yeah..."
"It's alright, I'm here with you, hmm?" He turned to me and smiled, "Let's get a room first so you can calm down."
I nodded and didn't speak. I took a deep breath and tried to calm my chest. If my nervousness continues I might trip. I don't want to embarrass Wyatt in front of many people. I don't want people to say that he is stupid for choosing a girlfriend, out of many women in the world, he just chose the careless one.
We went up to the fifth floor. We entered a room and he immediately sat me down.
"Did you see grandpa there?" he asked. He poured the wine on the glass on the table.
Has there been wine here before?
"No," I shook my head.
He sighed, "I'll call him, okay? You stay here."
I didn't answer anymore. He took his phone from his pocket and went to the balcony. I took a deep breath and poured some wine to calm myself down.
"Damn it, I hope everything goes well," I said to myself as I drank the wine.
"Let's go," Wyatt just came out from the balcony, "You okay?"
I nodded, "Yeah."
I stood up and fixed my clothes. He came to me and held my hand.
He smiled, "Pretty."
My eyebrows crossed because of what he said. If before he was smiling sweetly, now he is smiling teasingly. Wow, he really wants to annoy me, huh? Is teasing me his hobby?
"Shut up," I uttered.
"Kiss me and I'll shut up," his smile widened even more, which annoyed me even more.
I took my hand away from him, "Should I just go home? I can go home and leave you now. It's up to you to choose who you want to be your girlfriend for the day." I rolled my eyes and was about to walk away when he stopped me.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. He hugged me, "I'm just kidding, you're too serious. Oh, maybe you're really serious about me?" After that he laughed.
I pushed him away, "I'm just going home. Fuck you."
I turned around and walked towards the door. When I opened the door, my eyes widened. My feet felt like they were nailed because I couldn't move where I was standing.
"Oh, are you my grandson's girlfriend?" The old man in front of me asked. Yes, he is Wyatt's grandfather. Behind him were Wyatt's mom and dad along with Wyatt's dad's siblings and their children.
"Wow, so gorgeous! Oh, my gosh!" Wyatt's mom covered her mouth, as if shocked to see me. Her eyes were also teary.
"Hi, grandpa! Mom and dad!" That's none other than Wyatt. I felt his hand crawling around my waist. "Come in," he said.
They went inside and sat on the couch. I looked at Wyatt and saw him looking at me too.
He smiled, "Act normal, babe."
We followed and sat in front of his family. Wyatt and I were holding hands under the table. I held his hand tightly because of nervousness.
"So..." His grandpa raised an eyebrow, "Aren't you going to introduce him to us?" Wyatt asked.
Wyatt shrugged, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is my girlfriend and soon to be my wife— Aidallen Forger."
His first aunt chuckled— mother of Marcus. "Pfft- your what?"
Yes, I'm shocked too! Why does he have to say the word 'future wife'? And when did he come up with my full name? He didn't even tell me. Goodness!
"You really resemble Aiden just like what my daughter said," his third aunt said— the mother of Cynthia.
I looked at Wyatt and looked back again at his aunt. I smiled, "They said that a lot last time."
"You're like the girl version of Aiden," said Wyatt's second aunt— Ryan's mom.
"Stop talking about Aiden," said Regie's father— Marcus' mother's twin.
Criza's father—the youngest of the siblings—nodded, "Let's talk about her and not about other people. Where do you live? What's your family status? Are you in college like Wyatt? How old are you? What is your birth order among your siblings?"
"Oh, uhm..." I turned to Wyatt, trying to ask for help. I even squeezed his hand under the table to give him a sign.
"She lives in X Village. She's living alone, her parents are on a business trip. She's 19. She's also a college student but we're studying in a different school. And she's an only child."
"Why are you the one answering?" Wyatt's father asked. "Can't he speak for herself? The questions are simple."
Actually, as much as possible, I really don't want to talk because maybe if I say too much, they will notice my voice, which I try to lower to sound like a girl. And maybe when I get excited to speak, it suddenly becomes a male voice.
"I'm sorry," I bowed my head.
"Why are you apologizing?" Wyatt sat me up straight. "Dad, she's nervous that's why. Don't put pressure on her. I even had a hard time forcing her to come here."
His dad heaved a sigh, "Fine. My fault. Maybe I'm just surprised when you said she's your future wife."
Damn it. Why did he say that?
"Take a walk around the house sometime, okay?" Wyatt's mom smiled at me, "I want to see you often. You're so pretty."
I smiled, "Sure, auntie."
"Oh, come on~" she giggled, "Just call me 'mom'."
M-Mom?
Damn. She really looked so happy meeting her son's girlfriend. I'm feeling guilty now.
I just smiled and nodded at my aunt in response.
"My grandson didn't pay you to pretend to be his girlfriend, did he?" His grandfather asked which made my smile disappear.
"What are you saying, grandpa?" Wyatt's voice rose.
"H-Hey," I grabbed Wyatt's arm and pretended to calm him down. I know he's trying his best to act so I need to do the same. "It's okay," I uttered.
Wyatt sighed and shook his head, "We're serious about our relationship, grandpa. Don't utter such nonsense. We love each other."
Oh... I know he's just acting but why do I feel like I was floating in the air? I felt butterflies on my stomach. My heart beat faster and faster. Also, I felt like all my blood rose to my face.
Damn it.
