Chapter 44

Aiden's Point of View

I was supposed to buy my needs with Regie, but Regie said that he couldn't make it. That's why I shopped alone, and then I met Wyatt and this kid at the mall. In the end, I didn't even buy the things I needed because I had to leave to avoid Wyatt and to talk to my brother.

I only bought stuffed toys. As soon as I passed by that store, I immediately entered when I saw a teddy bear that looked like Wyatt. It's not like he looks like him; it's just that, when I saw that teddy bear, Wyatt immediately came to mind. And who would have thought that I would meet Wyatt right after I bought that stuffed toy? Damn. I still can't forget how manly he looked earlier.

He looked shocked when I turned to him after he grabbed my arm. Does he not know that I came back? Well, Regie probably didn't tell him. It's great, and I also told Regie that he shouldn't inform Wyatt about my comeback, but why am I feeling disappointed? Gosh.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Aiden, I'm hungry! Can you please hurry up?" The kid outside the bathroom said.

I clicked my tongue. I'm thinking about Wyatt. Why does he have to interrupt?

"Go cook then! You're 21, right? So, you should know how to cook by now!" I answered.

Oh, well. I'm taking a bath. I went straight to the bathroom when we got home. I just want to feel refreshed, that's why.

"You said that we are brothers. You're older than me, so you should cook for me!" He replied back.

Argh, this kid, really. He really doesn't want to lose.

I sighed before I stepped out of the bathtub. Let's first do what this kid wants so he will stop nagging.

I got out of the bathroom wearing only a bathrobe. He immediately went to the couch and sat there. I just sighed and went to the kitchen to cook since Luca is hungry.

"Damn," I swore when I realized that I didn't have enough utensils to use.

"W-What? What happened?" Luca asked and immediately approached me. He held my hand and tried to find the wound.

I took a deep breath and retracted my hand from his grip. "I'm alright. Nothing happened."

"Are you sure?" He asked. Concern was evident in his voice.

Maybe if he wasn't my brother, there is a chance that I would fall for him. He's kind and sweet. When I used to take him to school, the students were so enamored with him that you'd think he was an actor.

I nodded in response to his question and told him the reason for my cursing.

"I just remembered that I haven't bought anything yet. We have nothing to use for cooking and eating. Let's eat out today, and tomorrow we'll go shopping. Is that okay with you?" I asked.

"Okay," he answered. He looked at my hand and let out a sigh of relief.

Good thing, he agreed. I smiled and pinched his cheek.

"Stop it. Don't treat me like a kid. Tsk." he grumbled, and he slapped my hand that was pinching his cheek. He turned his back on me and went back to the couch.

I pouted. He doesn't like to be treated like a kid, but he was acting like one. Tch. I just shrugged and went to the bedroom to get changed. We are going to eat outside, so I need to change. I can't eat outside wearing just a bathrobe.

After we finished eating, we immediately returned to the condo. We didn't wander around anymore because Luca didn't seem to be in the mood. He was quiet while we were eating earlier; he didn't even glance at me. I didn't do anything wrong, did I?

I'm now in the bedroom, changing my clothes, while Luca is in the living room. I don't know what he is doing.

By the way, does he have any clothes with him? Ah, yes. He was actually dragging his luggage when we met at the mall earlier.

After I finished getting dressed, I left the room to see what Luca was doing. When I came out, I saw him sleeping on the sofa. At his height, his foot went over the end of the sofa itself.

He must have been tired; it looks like he just arrived in the country today.

I went back into the room to get a blanket, then I went out and put the blanket on Luca’s body. I caressed his head and gave him a kiss there.

How did he know that I was at the mall this afternoon? And how long will this man stay here? It's not that I don't want to be with him; it's because their class isn't over yet. It's not vacation yet, so I wonder why Mommy allowed him to follow me. What about his studies if he is here with me? This man doesn't really think at all.

[Present]

Wyatt's Point of View

I've been around here for hours, but I still haven't seen Aiden. It looks like it will take me an afternoon here. I haven't eaten lunch yet because I'm waiting for Aiden. Damn. Should I call Regie to ask if he knows where Aiden lives now? But I know that even if that man knows where Aiden lives, he still won't tell me. Tch. I have no choice but to wait for Aiden's arrival, and hope for a miracle that we will meet again. The next time we meet, I won't let him go again. Never.

GROOOO~

Damn. My stomach made a sound. I'm really hungry, and it looks like I really need to eat.

Because I was already hungry, I went to the mall to eat. I hope Aiden and I don’t miss each other. I wish that, when I saw him here in the first place, I would have followed them immediately so that I don't look like a fool now hoping for a miracle. But if I hadn't hurt him back then, I wouldn't be chasing him now.

Damn it.

I ate at a fast food chain. I sat on the corner, where you could see people passing by. Of course, I’m still hoping to see him again. What if, while I'm eating, I see him pass by, right?— What the heck?!

I immediately stood up and walked out of the fast food chain, even though I hadn't finished eating. I immediately looked around to find Aiden. A lot of people, aish.

I would really jump off the building if I overlooked it, and it turned out that it wasn't really him that I saw.

The blood in my body immediately came to life, and my heart beat quickly when I confirmed that it was indeed Aiden that I saw. He stopped walking and took the phone from his small bag, while he put down the plastic ones he was holding.

A smile appeared on my lips, and I quickly ran to him. But before I even got close, a mosquito immediately came to his side. My face soured, but I still didn't stop myself from approaching them.

How unfortunate! Why is this man here? I thought I was lucky because I saw Aiden, but it turned out not to be. It was just a trial because he had a mosquito with him.

I don't know him. Yesterday, he called Aiden "babe." If he really is Aiden's boyfriend, I will take Aiden away from him. So simple.

"Aiden," I called his name when I got close to the two of them. He seemed surprised to see me.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me. He looked at the man with him for a moment, then looked back at me again.

"Waiting for you," I replied, smiling. I put my hands in my pockets because they were shaking with excitement. I don't want Aiden to notice that, and he might even think I'm sick.

His eyebrows met. He didn't seem to like my answer. Should I have said that it was just a coincidence that I saw him, and maybe this is the sign that we are really meant for each other? But maybe he would be even more annoyed if I said that, right?

He rolled his eyes. "We're going home."

"Wait!" I immediately grabbed his hand when he planned to take the plastic ones that were on the ground. "Uhm... C-can we talk?"

"No," he answered right away. "We have to go home."

"Who's he?" I asked and looked at the man who looked like a foreigner— or maybe he really was a foreigner. "You were with him yesterday too. Who is that?" I asked him with a frown.

I was in a good mood when I saw Aiden; it was like my hunger suddenly disappeared. But when I saw this mosquito, I felt like I wanted to fly into a rage.

"Whoever he is, it’s none of your business," he answered. "Let's go, Luca."

He was about to get the plastic again when I stopped him. "He called you "babe" last time. Is he your boyfriend?"

Damn. I couldn't stop myself from asking. I don't want to miss my chance either. I want to talk to him more. And if possible, I will bring him home to the mansion and never let him out.

"It's none of your concern, Wyatt," he replied.

"You know him? I thought you didn't? You told me yesterday that you didn't know him," the guy named Luca asked Aiden.

I smirked. "He lied. To be clear, I am his—" I didn't finish what I was going to say because Aiden cut me off with his palm before I could finish.

"Luca, you carry all this and bring it to the car. Wait for me there and don't go anywhere, okay? I just have something to talk to him about," Aiden said to the guy before he pulled me away.

"But!" The guy wanted to complain, but Aiden didn't look back.

Aiden let go of my hand when we arrived at the... comfort room, seriously?

"Now, talk," he said, crossing his arms. "What do you need?"

Okay, I need to think first. I had to think about whether I should tell him what I was up to or whether I should lie. Dang. My heart is racing like crazy, I was like a child scolded by a strict teacher.

I don't know how long I've been standing in front of him and not even moving. I was only able to speak when he spoke again.

"What? How long do you plan to just stand here? I'm snowed under; we have to go home," he promised.

"We? You're going home with that guy?" I asked.

"That guy, you say? Tch," he rolled his eyes once again. "Yeah, I'm living with him, so what?"

"The hell?" I scoffed. "Is he your boyfriend or what?"

He looked away. "Think what you want to think; I'm not telling you. Anyway, what do you want to talk about? The time is ticking."

"Well, uhm..." Oh, fuck. What should I say? I need to think of something that will give me a chance to see him again. "Uhm..." Damn it. Think, Wyatt! Think!

"Um, what?" He arched an eyebrow.

"Well, uh, Grandfather wants to meet you. He knew that you came back, so he wants to have a chat with you. You know, you've been close with him before," I lied.

I will just talk to Grandpa later. Damn, I'm sorry. I don't know what excuse I could possibly give.

"Fine. If-if it's your grandfather that wanted to see me, then it's fine," he answered. I don't know, but I can see his eyes shaking when he answers.

"That's great!" My face beams. "I will inform my grandpa. "Could you give me your phone number so I can give you the time and day?" I smiled and held out my phone.

Damn. Please, work! I said it naturally, right? Oh, fuck. I'm nervous; I could die.

He was looking at my phone for a while before he took a deep breath and took it. "Yeah, whatever."

Woah, woah, woah. I want to jump for joy right now. But certainly I can't, because he's in front of me. I should act normal. But fuck, I can't suppress my smile.

After he typed his number on my phone, he gave it back to me. I put my phone back in my pocket after adding his number to my new contacts.

I looked at him and smiled. "Thanks."

"I'm going home," he responded, and he went out to the comfort room, while I just stayed there and looked at where he went out.

I don't need to follow him anymore, right? Fuck. I've got his number!

I peeked outside, and when I didn't see him there, I went back inside and jumped for joy. I didn't realize it because I was so happy that I punched the mirror, causing it to break.

I stopped jumping. My jaw dropped while looking at the mirror.

Even the man who had just entered was surprised to see the condition of the mirror. I just closed my eyes and pulled my own hair.

"Shit. I fucked up," I mumbled.
