Chapter 7 Relaxing Relationships
Henry's skin crawled. He rubbed his arms and frowned. "What the hell are you doing?"
Henry was only one month older than Susan. He forced Susan to call him elder brother, but she refused. Now she suddenly agreed. Why would she change her temperament overnight?
"There's nothing wrong with me. I should call you elder brother, and I'm not angry. We're going to enter the high school, so we were no longer children any more. From today, I'll call you elder brother politely and you should keep a distance from me. Do you understand? "
Henry was speechless for a while, and he didn't know what to say. The woman's mind was really hard to guess. From elementary school to junior high school, Susan had always show herself as his girlfriend, but now she suddenly became his younger sister. She was nothing but getting angry.
"You proposed it first. If my mother came to scold me again, I'll kill you!"
Susan nodded, turned to open the door and walked out. She shook her head while walking. It was very easy to cheat a girl. How come she was so naive and loved such a guy that much?
When she went downstairs, Mrs Bull had already set the dinner. Although the richest people in city A, Mrs Bull liked to do things by herself. She was completely a standard housewife. Very few people knew that she used to be a piano teacher who gave up her dreams totally and focused on the family.
Mrs Bull watched Susan come downstairs and joked with a smile, "Making your peace with Henry?"
Susan also responded with a big smile: "We have always gotten along well with each other!"
Henry came downstairs following her. He snorted coldly after hearing her words. She just called him "elder brother" just then and changed her mind now.
Mrs Bull turned to look at her son whose eyes full of contempt. She pretended to be angry and scolded him,"Why not show your kindness to Susan ?"
Henry was furious again. As soon as he was about to retort, Susan hurriedly threw herself at Mrs Bull's arms and began to speak highly of Henry.
"Henry is very kind to me. Mrs Bull you don't know, if someone bullies me outside, Henry will protect me at once!"
"Really? I think this guy will do nothing except for fighting with others ..."
"Of course not! Henry is particularly powerful. It is really useful to learn Taekwondo! When he gave a group of gangsters a good beat who bullied girls, our school even praised him!"
Susan had never praised Henry directly to the face of Mrs Bull. Her compliment made Henry feel a little embarrassed. He touched his nose and stopped talking.
Susan didn't do it for him. Henry always quarreled with Mrs Bull in his adolescence. Every time after quarreling, Mrs Bull would cry for a long time.
After all, he was her own son. Though scolded him harshly, Mrs Bull most of the time worried about him. Susan's unreserved compliments made Mrs Bull very pleased. During the dinner, Mrs Bull deliberately put many delicious food in Henry's bowl. Henry didn't refuse and ate in silence. The atmosphere was peaceful.
In the same period but a different scene, Susan let out a sigh in relief. In this life, she hoped that everyone she loved could be happy.
After dinner, Susan went to sleep at home. Henry stood on the stairs and watched her go out. He opened his mouth but did not utter a word for a long time.
Although he was able to sleep well tonight when Susan, his loyal follower, was absent, Susan's behavior today was too abnormal ...
After Henry took a shower, he gazed outside the floor-to-ceiling window not yet covered by the curtain. The window at the opposite side was dark. When he looked at it carefully, the curtains had been drawn. He opened the window and poked her window with the clothes hanger, but there was no response.
"No way. How come she went to bed so early? The pig seldom never did it before!" Henry murmured.
Forgot it, anyway. He couldn't believe Susan's words anyway. Given her moodiness, maybe she would change her mind tomorrow!
He withdrew the hanger, returned to his room and closed the doors and windows. After a second thought, he drew the curtain swiftly.
