Chapter 18. A Sense of Tenderness

"Oh, I forgot, what’s your name? " Diana asked.

"My name is Kris Adan. They all call me Kris." The bodyguard replied.

Diana stunned and glanced at Kris quietly. She realized that he was calm and did not feel troubled by the nickname, then she said: "Then I'll follow them to call you, Kris?"

Kris replied: "No problem."

When they reached Louis's study room, Kris knocked on the door and opened it to let Diana go in alone.

Louis lowered his head and looked at the documents on the desk. Perhaps he had taken a bath after he came back, and the hair that he combed back naturally dropped down. The sharpness of his body seemed to be scattered with these falling hairs, giving a sense of tenderness.

He looked up and glanced at Diana with sharp eyes.

It turned out that she was wrong. Diana laughed in her heart. When she inadvertently met a bright and dazzling person like James today, she even felt that Louis was gentle.

"Are you looking for me?" Diana asked.

Louis closed the document in his hand, which “The First International Ancient Rhyme Design Competition" appeared on the cover of the document.

Her pupils contracted. Louis was really interested in this design competition.

"I sent someone to check your information today." Louis said straight to the point.

Diana's heart shocked. Why did Louis suddenly think of looking for her information?

"Why don't you say that your uncle wants to the operation of changing heart?" Louis asked.

Diana did not know whether she should be relieved or disappointed, but this was normal. She was an unknown elementary student in Selfridges. Few people knew it at all. Even those knew her, they would pretend to unknow her when she arrived there. How was it so easy to find?

"It has been eventful in my family recently. I am not going to tell you until the ninth day of Henry’s death." Her mom had called her to remind her of this, but there was no one in the Miller family she could look for help. Unexpectedly, Louis had mentioned this matter on his own initiative, which would save her from making excuses.

"My mother’s brother..."

Louis interrupted her and said: "You don't need to worry about this. I'll handle it."

Diana opened her mouth, and only said: "Thank you."

"You can go out." said Louis.

He was looking for her to say this thing? Diana was stunned. She secretly glanced at the document again and quickly said: "I have something to discuss with you." She tried to make her tone sound more friendly. It was very important to have a good relationship with Louis if she wanted to revenge for Kelly and Dean. Of course, it would be nice if she could turn Kelly's backer into her own, but this was too difficult, so she wanted something to be more practical.

Louis said without looking up: "Yes." He was concise and did not seem to want to talk nonsense with Diana.

Diana was used to his cold attitude. "I want to go out to work," she said.

Louis finally looked up at her again and said coldly: "The daughter-in-law of our family do not need to go out to work."

Diana was shocked. Before she could even say that she wanted to work at Louis’s family, her wish was fundamentally denied. "What's the rule?" She asked in disbelief.

"This is the rule of our family," said Louis.

Diana was shocked again. What kind of daughter-in-law was she? She was a transparent person in the family, okay?
