Chapter 5 Opportunity

"You are really a little miser." The uncle rubbed his head again with some amusement and exasperation and said, "It is much more precious than platinum. You must take good care of it and don't lose it."

With this, he looked at Jack's relatively slender fingers and told him, "When you go home, you should find a necklace and hang it around your neck for close keeping."

"Uncle..." Jack said awkwardly, "Since this is very valuable, you may as well take it with you..."

Looking at the wolf ring he was playing with, the uncle looked deeply and said, "If I can carry it myself, how can I leave it with you? Put it away."

The uncle had never asked him to do anything, and all the things he asked him to do today were just a matter of lifting a finger. Jack could not refuse.

He nodded his head, put the ring into his pocket carefully, and said solemnly, "Uncle, don't worry. I will take good care of it and return it to you when you come back. "

"Yes." The uncle took a deep breath, nodded in relief, patted Jack on the shoulder, and said, "You are a very smart kid. When I was your age, I was a fool who knew nothing. However, smart people are also easily misled by their own intelligence. In the future, you should carefully choose your own path. There is only one life for you. If you don't know how to cherish it, then it will leave you. You should remember that no matter what, you should not risk your life. One thing I hate most in my life is taking risks."

Jack kept nodding and said, "I have written down what uncle said." After a short pause, he said jokingly, "Uncle, what you said today seem to be telling your last words today."

The uncle was stunned for a moment and then burst out laughing.

Jack wanted to tell a joke to ease the atmosphere, but it turned out to be a reality. Their meeting this time became his last with the uncle. From this day on, the uncle disappeared in his life and it was completely disappeared. The uncle never appeared again.

The uncle was like a mystery. Jack also did not know the name, origin, and background of this uncle, nor did he know where he went after he left this time, nor did he know whether he was dead or alive. In a word, he just disappeared, as if he had never existed in this world. Even if Jack wanted to go to the police to find someone, he couldn't provide complete and exact information.

Without the wolf ring and the notebook computer, Jack would have suspected that he was suffering from schizophrenia and that he had been communicating with a person who did not exist at all but imagined such a person out of thin air for more than a year.

The uncle left and never came back, while Jack continued what the uncle entrusted him to do. He opened the webpage of the adult products company on the 15th of each month. After logging in, he entered 200,000 US dollars into the jumped-out page to make the transfer.

He was also curious about how much money the uncle had in his account, but he never checked it. He knew that the deposit in this account would be an astronomical figure. He didn't want to see it and also dared not to see it. This was because he worried that he would become greedy after watching it.

However, he only opened a chat room once, but there was no one in it. In the sidebar of the chat room, he was the only one with a name.

The uncle was missing and his life was still going on. As the days passed, he also stuck to the habit of running with heavy loads every day.

Time flew. Jack rose to Senior Three. At this time, the study became more onerous. Even at home, Jack was forced by his elder brother to get up early and read every day.

In the second semester of Senior Three, Jack finally waited for the opportunity he had been waiting for, that was, an opportunity to kill Johnny.

He really felt how accurate the uncle's prediction was. Long ago, the uncle said to him that people like Johnny would cause trouble sooner or later, so it would not be difficult to wait for the chance to deal with him.

As expected, the opportunity really came.

Johnny did an extremely stupid thing. He had an affair with Wilson Kent's wife. Wilson was a well-known gangster in the area of G District. He often took care of entertainment places and opened dance halls. Basically, he was engaged in businesses related to pornography, gambling, and drugs. He had his own thugs, which could be regarded as a veritable gangster.

Compared with him, Johnny could only be regarded as a hooligan. However, Johnny was bold enough and got involved with Wilson's wife. After the incident, Wilson threatened to kill Johnny, who was so scared that he even dared not show up.

Of course, Johnny also had people behind him who he could rely on. He had a background in the police station. His uncle was the head of the Criminal Police Department of the branch and his uncle helped him settle all the troubles he caused before. He felt it was no big deal this time. As long as he dodged this time, Wilson would no longer feel angry, and then his uncle would mediate for him. Wilson would not be able to do anything to him unless he did not want to live a comfortable life in the future.

No matter how Johnny planned, this incident made Jack acutely aware that he was finally waiting for the chance to take revenge.

After school this day, he came to Dragon and Tiger Bar. The bar was sounded with gentle melodious music and charming songs. He looked up and found Emma singing.

He sat down at the bar and called the bartender, "Kevin."

The bartender's name was Kevin Kent. He was five years older than Jack. Jack had always called him Kevin.

As a bartender, Kevin had to face all kinds of people every day, so he was also very well informed. The fact that Johnny had an affair with Wilson's wife and Wilson wanted to kill him was told to Jack by Kevin.

"Hi, Jack." Kevin greeted him and poured him a glass of orange juice with tacit understanding.

Jack took a sip, sighed comfortably, and said laughingly, "The orange juice made by Kevin is delicious."

Hearing his praise, Kevin seemed very happy. Normally, a young man as big as Jack was in a rebellious period and he was very irritable and rebellious. However, Jack was not the same. He looked more and more lovely, and his temper was getting better and better. He was better talking than before.

"Jack, come on and let me see if your mouth is smeared with honey and why it is so sweet." Kevin said with a smile.

Jack pouted and then asked casually, "By the way, Kevin, didn't you say that Wilson is killing after Johnny? Did they find him?"

"No, Johnny had been on the mafia for so long. If he really wants to hide, he can't be caught so easily."

"That is also true." Jack nodded and said, "However, I heard that Wilson is very powerful."

"Even if he was powerful and he can exert himself at G Area. If Johnny hides in another district or is not in City D at all, Wilson will not find him."

"Yes." Jack asked, "Where is Wilson living generally?"

"Of course, he is in the ballroom he opened. Jack, why do you ask this?"

"Nothing, I am just curious about it. By the way, should his ballroom be an old ballroom?"

"Well, Golden Star Ballroom, that is very old. That ballroom may be older than you. It is the first ballroom in City D. Although that ballroom is now down and out, it was very popular in the past." Kevin spoke with fervor and assurance.

Jack said happily, "Wilson made a profit by winning the Golden Star Ballroom."

"He must have made a lot of money from it. I heard that he didn't spend much money on it, and it was almost half sold and half given to him." Kevin kept shaking his head, as if to lament why such good fortune had not come to him.

Jack chatted with him for a few minutes. And then he picked up his schoolbag and said, "Kevin, I'll go home first."

"Leon is upstairs, don't you go and see?"

"I think Emma is also here, so I will not stay to be their third party."

"Ha-ha, you are really smart." Kevin smiled and praised him.

"Who is the third party?" With a gust of fragrant wind coming, Emma, wearing a red skirt, stood beside Jack and hugged him around his neck. She smiled and asked, "Younger brother, are you speaking ill of your sister?"

Feeling that his head was tightly attached to Emma's chest, the warm and soft touch made Jack's face turn red immediately. He faltered out, "No... No..."

With this, he stood up awkwardly, trying to break free from Emma's cuddle.

However, Emma obviously didn't want him to succeed. Her white and pink arm held his neck tightly, while her other hand kept pinching his cheek. She was grinning like that she had found out a new continent. "Yo, you are shy now."

"Emma, I am not a child anymore. My nominal age is eighteen." He grumbled discontentedly. As he struggled to break free from her embrace, he grabbed his schoolbag and quickly ran out of the bar.

Looking at his back, Emma pouted and muttered, "He is really getting less and less cute."

Kevin said with a wry smile, "I think Jack is more and more understanding of the limits."

Emma was now Leon's girlfriend and could be said to be Jack's prospective sister-in-law. No matter how close the relationships between the husband's younger brother and sister-in-law, they couldn't casually cuddle. Besides, Jack was right that he was really not a child anymore.

After running out of the bar, Jack breathed a sigh of relief, and his face did not show any displeasure. He also felt a sense of happiness. Now, he had no infatuation with Emma for a long time. Instead, he had developed another kind of feeling, feeling like a nest in the arms of his mother. At the thought of it, Jack felt blushed. Perhaps he was too lack of maternal love!

After leaving the bar, he did not go home, but took a bus to the Golden Star Ballroom in G District.

Golden Star Ballroom was an old ballroom with more than 20 years, and ticket prices here had not been increased. It was five yuan more than 20 years ago, but it is still five yuan now. However, the dancing in the Golden Star Ballroom was now done by elderly middle-aged men and women or by some migrant workers, so the level of guests here was not the same as in those days.

After Jack came to the Golden Star Ballroom, he took five yuan to buy a ticket and went in.

It's less than six o'clock in the evening, so the ballroom was very cold and cheerless with many chairs still on the console table. The light inside was dim, although it would not make people feel completely dark, people's sight would be limited.

After entering, he looked in all directions as he walked, looking for the figure of Wilson.

He had never seen Wilson, but he knew that Wilson was a big fat man. According to Kevin, he looked very kind, and he was just like a Maitreya Buddha. Of course, if you regarded him as a kind man because of his appearance, you might not even know how you would die in the end.

He turned around in the ballroom before long and then a waiter came along. The man looked at Jack up and down a few times and laughed. He asked crossly, "Boy, how old are you this year? You even come to the ballroom?"
