Chapter 17 Being a ghostwriter

It seemed that they were not Angus's people from what they had just said.

The man said, "You'll see when you get there. If you do as you're told and cooperate with us, you'll return home safe."

Tammy covered her chest. She wiped the sweat that was running down her face from the shock. That was when she realized that she was bleeding all over her face.

"Hey, I will help you deal with your wound so you don't scare our boss." One of the men said, taking out a medical cotton to wipe her blood and then applying gauze to her wound.

Her wound wasn't big, and although she was bleeding a lot, it was nothing serious.

But they were rude, and their movement hurt her too much.

Tammy couldn't escape now and had to give up resisting now. They didn't look like any kidnappers.

Who wanted to see her anyway?

Tammy was taken to a private home.

She sat in the living room and apprehensively looked around the area.

Tammy had a stronger sense of design and thought that while the house was a bit harsh and very feminine looking. Her instincts told her that the owner of the place would be a woman.

The next person she saw confirmed Tammy's suspicions.

"Miss Wood, I'm sorry. Did I scare you?"

A very tall young woman walked over. She had shoulder-length hair and wore a very stylish black suit. She was a strong woman at first glance.

"Elina? "Tammy was very shocked.

It was her!

Elina, one of the country's most famous jewelry designers, has been a design genius since childhood and was now the owner of a major design company.

Tammy has always loved Elina's designs. She knew every one of her designs by heart, and Elina was her inspiration.

Tammy was very nervous to see her idol and she immediately sat up straighter, smiling.

"How did you get hurt? Are my subordinates being too rude?" Elina sat down, and she looked at the wound on her forehead.

Tammy shook her head, "No, I fell over myself. Why...why did you want to see me?"

She was nothing completely. And she was confused why Elina, a strong woman at the top of the design world, would send someone to bring her here.

Elina picked up a pamphlet from the coffee table and handed it to her, "Have a look at this. It's all from some of the designers."

Tammy took it dubiously and was completely dumbfounded when she saw the designs on it.

These works were not of some famous designer but were designed by her when she was working as a ghostwriter.

But she only worked behind the scene and never appeared in the public.

Having a flair for jewelry design herself, she once found a door and sold her designs for a small fortune.

She thought she was going to be successful because the jewelry style was a big seller, but she didn't realize that it wasn't signed by her, but a famous jewelry designer.

She had no proof and no way to safeguard her legal right, so she had to swallow her grievance.

Since then, she lost her dream. The reality was too cruel. People would not want her when they saw her face. And she had no professional training, not to mention that she had never been to a design school.

So she started being a ghostwriter for people to get profits.

She gave all the money she earned to her aunt, and none of it was kept for herself.

The tuition of Lucia was secretly deposited into her aunt's account by her.

Elina's shrewd eyes flashed with a hint of cunning, "These works are very good, and they sold well after they went on the market. All ladies like them. There are also some commonplace designs that ordinary people love. But I find it odd that all of these pieces are made by different designers and look different, but the style, however, is very similar. They seemed to be designed by one person. Those pieces are with a strong personality and very distinctive."

Tammy was in awe, and she seemed to know why Elina had captured her here.
