Chapter 12 Insane
In the living room downstairs,
A few little maids gathered around and whispered with each other, "Really? No way."
"I saw it with my own eyes outside the room. Sitting at the bed, Mr. Christ massaged her stomach for quite some time!"
"You see, even Mrs. Jean was scolded. Mr. Christ was really pissed this time."
Uncle John, the old butler, walked over quietly with a stern face, "You are so bold and idle now? You have the leisure to gossip!"
Those maids immediately covered their mouths.
"Mark my words, that's the future Young Lady of the Christ Family. She is chosen by Old Mr. Christ, and you should mind your speech. If Old Mr. Christ and Mr. Christ are pissed, you'll be kicked out of the house."
One of the maids asked timidly, "But Uncle John, is the future Young Lady... really retarded?"
She looked pretty, cute, and had beautiful eyes. She didn't really look like a retard.
"I hope this is the last time I hear such a thing!" Uncle John widened his eyes ferociously.
After lecturing the maids, Uncle John turned around and walked into the study.
He bent down and muttered in Old Mr. Christ's ear, "Mister, here is the thing. I just heard it from those maids..."
"Well..."
Old Mr. Christ was shocked!
Stomach massage? Was that the grandson he knew?
Uncle John gave a meaningful smile, "It makes sense. Mr. Christ is about 30 and should have a woman, heh heh."
The two old men exchanged glances and chuckled.
In the meanwhile, Simona already finished the drip.
Nathan held Simona's hand to walk down the downstairs.
Uncle John pushed Old Mr. Christ's wheelchair out of the study, "Mr. Christ, why not stay for the night? What's the rush?"
"I'm fine." Nathan declined without the slightest hesitation.
"We don't have any guests here. Why not stay for one night? I'll ask the servants to cook your favorite dishes." There was distinct anticipation in Old Mr. Christ's eyes.
Holding Simona's hand, Nathan didn't answer nor halt his steps.
He hadn't been back to live here for years. How would he stay for the night?
This was no longer his home.
Simona stopped and looked back, "G... grandpa, see you."
...
As soon as they got back to the villa and Simona got into the door, she was surprised to find something familiar in the living room.
Her school bag and uniform.
Moore also just arrived and came up, "Sir, following your instruction, I went to Sam's house and brought over Miss Sam's belongings."
Nathan glanced at Simona, "Go upstairs and take a shower."
Simona hummed, picked up her bag, and obediently walked upstairs.
Nathan sat down, "How are things going on in Sam's house?"
"The Sam Family was looking for Miss Sam and thought I went there to ask for her. They were frightened and knew not how to explain. Then I told them that you picked up Miss Sam to the villa last night."
"They took Old Mr. Christ's money and learned Miss Sam was taken away by you. Imagine... how happy Edward and his wife were."
Such relatives were really cold-hearted.
If he didn't see it with his own eyes, he wouldn't believe such a thing.
Moore sighed and continued, "I've warned them against divulging a word to the public."
"The capital chain of Sam Group broke some time ago, and now they are in desperate need of a large sum of money to go through the difficulty, so I believe they would know their place."
Speaking of Sam Group, when Walden was alive, the company enjoyed a great reputation in the industry and developed in leaps and bounds.
After Walden passed away, Sam Group was nearing its end in recent years. Even if they could make it through the crisis this time, its future was still not promising.
Nathan slightly lowered his head, "Keep an eye on Sam Family."
"Got it."
Moore suddenly smiled, "By the way, sir, did Old Mr. Christ tell you why you have to marry Miss Sam?"
"Well... I've searched the internet for some detailed information. Minor dysgnosia is mostly caused by the environment or genetic. The patients tend to have poor language abilities, just like Miss Sam... who is a stammerer."
"Basic communication isn't a problem, and their intelligence is about the same as that of a teenager. Since Miss Sam attends high school, her condition is not very serious."
Nathan's face turned sullen.
Moore smiled awkwardly. In fact, he was indicating that it was quite likely to be hereditary.
Heredity meant if they had a child in the future...
Frightened by Mr. Christ's expression, he didn't dare to continue with his speech.
Nathan asked in a deep voice, "Is Simona born ill?"
"As far as I know, after Walden passed away, rumors started to spread that the lady of Sam Family is mentally challenged. I tried to look into Miss Sam's medical records but found nothing. Don't worry, I'll follow up with the issue."
Nathan asked again, "How do the other family members react when they heard the old man asks me to marry Simona?"
Moore smiled, "Your second brother is still overseas and hasn't reacted so far, but I think he will for sure."
"As for your third brother... heh heh, he seems sympathetic to you and said that you are insane to marry a retard for the sake of inheritance."
