Chapter 8 Massage

Winter turned her head and closed her eyes.

After he finished answering nature's call, she helped him wash his hands.

Winter had to admire her attentive service like a nanny. After serving Mr. Lloyd, she looked at the cold dishes and lost her appetite.

When she helped the master to use the bathroom, she noticed that his feet could support him. Did it mean his legs could be healed? Winter pushed Etan out of the bathroom, ready to try the kinesthetic function of his legs.

She squatted in front of him again and looked up at him with gentle eyes, "Mister, I want to massage your legs. Don't lose your temper, but I'm versed in traditional Chinese medicine and might be able to heal your legs. Can you work with me?"

Without a word, Etan stared closely at her with his bright eyes.

Winter reached out her trembling hands for his legs. But before they landed, she clearly noticed his furrowed eyebrows.

In a fluster, Winter flinched and reassured him, "Mister, don't be afraid. I just want to help you massage your legs and relieve your nerves!"

From his well-ironed trousers, Winter noticed the outline of his legs. They were long and attractive.

She reached out her hand to gently touch his leg, and he immediately knocked it off.

"Relax, take it easy!" Oblivious to the pain from her hand, she gently soothed him again, "Can you feel your leg?"

His furrowed eyebrows were his only reply.

Winter took out her cell phone before playing a piece of soothing and relaxing music.

"If you don't want me to approach, close your eyes, and listen to music. Relax... relax!" Winter felt like she was a hypnotist.

Amid the melody, Etan became much more docile and really closed his eyes slowly.

Phew!

Winter took a deep breath and reached out for his leg.

Winter found her hands trembling involuntarily.

Relax, relax!

Winter comforted herself.

She slowly placed her hand on his leg.

He abruptly opened his fierce eyes.

"Shh, take it easy, close your eyes. I just want to give you a massage! I will not hurt you, trust me!" With a smile, Winter said in a soft voice.

But his flawless face looked full of distrust.

"Rest assured, you'll feel comfortable! If you don't, I'm at your disposal. You can even kick me out!"

Winter felt that was a big gamble. What if Mr. Lloyd really kicked her out regardless of the result?

She went all out. If she was unable to deal with a man with children's intelligence, how would she establish herself in the Lloyd Family? How would she be able to save her grandma?

"Good boy, close your eyes!" Noticing his softened will, Winter continued to patiently guide him.

He closed his eyes slightly, but his eyebrows were still knitted.

Winter massaged the acupoints on his legs. Ever since she was a child, she had learned traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with her grandfather. The old man imparted all the family leechcraft to her, and she studied in a TCM college for another five years. Well versed in medicine, she certainly could handle massage.

While listening to soft music, seemingly he felt comfortable, and his knitted brows gradually spread.

Winter felt the muscles on his legs were still tight and lean. A disabled person would not be like this.

Maybe his legs could be healed. As long as she took his pulse, she would be able to diagnose him further.

But now she didn't dare to make such a rash move. She should gradually win his trust.

Kneeling on the floor, Winter massaged him more vigorously, and time passed without her notice.

Exhausted, Winter first squatted and then kneeled. Her legs went so numb that she fell on his body again when she got up.

Ugh, this was discouraging!

She made the same mistake twice in a day.

Winter really wanted to smack herself.

But she distinctly felt Etan's solid hands on her waist.
