Chapter 11 What to Do?
"No... nothing. Charles, I don't feel good. I'm afraid I can't have dinner with you." Judie bit her lower lip and swallowed again the words she had wanted to spit out.
She didn't think Charles would believe her since they had married for only one month, and, before that, they did not have feelings for each other.
Smith might tell Charles that Judie seduced him if she spoke it out.
Then it's all over.
"OK." Charles was indifferent.
Judie went to the bedroom and sat on the carpet. Now her mind was in a mess.
After a while, the sound of a car engine came from the courtyard, which made her stand up immediately. And she rushed to the window
Yellow light shed on a luxurious car. It looked blurred.
A servant opened the door, and a well-built man got off the car. He had broad shoulders, a slim waist, and long legs. The black shirt outlined his perfect strong chest, showing off the beauty of power. His black mask looked more mysterious at night.
His delicate upraised chin made him look unswerving.
He was a man with aura. Wherever he was, all eyes would be on him, though his face was covered.
"Boss"
"It's been a long time, Mr. Smith." Kelvin bowed his head respectfully, "Mr. Shield is waiting for you in the study."
"Uh-huh." He responded carelessly and then raised his head and look in the direction of the second floor, right at the window behind which Judie stood.
His profound eyes behind the black mask were like dangerous vortexes with hidden energy that could turn the world upside down. No one dared to look straight at them.
Looking at the arrogant man and those maids who were looking at him with rapt attention, Judie was so angry that she clutched on the curtain, so tight that the knuckles were white and painful.
"Jerk!" She gnashed her teeth.
How she wished she could rush down to bite him to death.
She never expected the man to raise his head and looked towards her.
Judie was frightened. She crouched down immediately, hiding behind the curtain. Her heart was beating so fast, and her forehead was covered with a layer of sweat beads.
It felt like a peeper got caught in the act.
Crouching there, mind in a mess, Judie resented daring not to look at the jerk into his eyes, since she was not the one who did anything wrong.
Judie was annoyed, but she could not do anything.
After a few minutes, she stood up, keeping herself from being seen from outside the window. Then she slowly poked her head out. However, the courtyard was empty except for the car reflecting the yellow light.
Judie turned around and lean against the wall. Her mind was in turmoil.
"What to do, what to do, what to do?"
She kept repeating and could not think straight since her mind was all in a mess.
After a while, she sat on the floor, arm-griping, head on the glass of the window, and eyes bewildered.
Click.
The sound of unlocking the door was clear in a silent room.
However, Judie soaking in her messy thought did not notice it.
When she was aware, she had been covered by the shadow of a tall figure. She could feel oppression coming from him.
The light in the room was out. The twilight had already faded away. Only light of streetlamps was cast into the room, but that was not enough for seeing the face clearly.
The one was extremely tall for Judie, who sat on the floor. She was frightened, "Who are you? Who allows you to enter the room of Charles and me?"
Her voice took on a certain authority.
Only maids were allowed to come in this room for cleanup.
This one before her was obviously a man, a tall and well-built man.
Actually, before this powerful man, she was not as confident as she sounded.
No servants in this villa dare to enter the room. Or he was...
