Chapter 10 He is My Friend

Judie stared at the large screen, her fingers coiling up into fists. She was so angry when she saw the screen.

Lots of people surrounded the man on the screen. He looked relaxed and easy, taking his popularity for granted. He had the air of a superior person, making people willing to bow down.

The black mask he was wearing, his soft chestnut hair, the thin lips, and the perfect outline of the chin. All these were the characteristics of that man, the jerk!

Jimmy Smith was the president of the SQ Group.

No wonder the jerk was so arrogant and reckless.

If he was a star in the sky, Judie was dust on the earth.

She had thought she would beat that jerk if she saw him again. Now she knew that he was not an ordinary man. How was she his match?

So she could only submit to humiliation?

Judie was gnashing her teeth with extreme anger.

An inconspicuous smile played about his lips when Charles was listening to the news.

He turned off the TV and looked back and found Judie's cheeks were red with anger.

"What's wrong?" He spoke calmly.

"Ch-Charles, that guy..." Judie stammered angrily.

Judie was lowborn. If she wanted revenge, Charles was the only one she could rely on. However, she did not know what he could do for her, though he was rich enough to live in this luxurious villa.

That jerk was the president of SQ, one of the top ten companies in the world, a big name around the world. Even the mayor had to greet him in person when he arrived in South City. He must be a powerful figure. Charles could not be his match.

Finally, she decided not to cause Charles more trouble since he had spent lots of money to pay the debt for her father.

She would keep this to her heart.

Though she gave up revenge, Judie's fingers were still coiling up tightly.

"The guy? Do you mean Jimmy?" Charles asked.

"Yes." Judie swallowed the words she intended to say and nodded, trying to be as easy as she could.

"He came back from abroad yesterday. I guess he will be in South City in the next years. He's my friend and will come to visit me tonight. So, stay here if you don't have other business," said Charles.

He seemed not notice anything wrong with Judie.

"Friend?" Judie was stunned, her body still and her eyes popping out. She could hardly believe what she heard.

No wonder!

No wonder that he called her Mrs. Shield.

A friend of Charles did that to his wife?

Judie almost went to pieces.

Did it mean that she would probably see the jerk frequently and tell Charles what had happened between them if he wanted?

Judie could not help but shiver.

How would she deal with it?

To tell Charles what his friend did to his wife last night?

If she told him, would he believe his friend or his one-month wife who he hadn't known before?

Judie looked at Charles, mouth opened. She just could not spit the words out.

"Anything wrong?" Charles sounded annoyed.

Though she looked stunned, her pursed peachy lips were still very temptatious.

That made Charles' finger coiled up a bit.

Her face was too good to watch.

He looked away.
