Chapter 11 Woman, have you learned your lesson?
"What's wrong?" Eric Carter lifted his head to ask the driver.
Just then, his car was hit one more time.
The black car did not stop hitting against the Lamborghini until its head was severely deformed.
In contrast, the other vehicle was almost intact except for having its headlights broken.
People in the Lamborghini all got dizzy due to the continuous impacts.
At this moment, Hank Cook stepped off the black car.
He walked over to the Lamborghini, opened the door, and dragged Eric, who was still lying on Mary Miller, out of the car.
Hank punched Eric and then kicked him hard.
Sitting in the car, Mary was still in shock because of Eric's rude behavior and the traffic accident.
Eric Carter, that bastard, almost raped her.
At this moment, the car door was opened again. Mary lifted her eyes to see Mike's face and the slight angry expression on it.
"Woman, have you learned your lesson?"
Mary immediately encircled the man's waist with her hands and burst out crying.
Mike took off his windbreaker, wrapped Mary with it, and then carried her out of the vehicle.
The woman was so scared that she could not stop shedding tears.
Noticing that the belt of Mary's bra had been pulled out, the man felt distressed for her.
After finishing beating Eric up, Hank walked over to the black car and got in.
Mary was still suffering from the drama and crying.
Mike did not comfort her with words or say anything.
In fact, he felt irritated. If Mary had come back to him earlier, none of this would have happened.
When the car stopped in front of his villa by the North River, Mike got off the car, picked the woman up in his arms, and strode towards the house.
Mike lowered his eyes to look at Mary, who was like an injured homeless kitten. He carried her to a spacious bathroom, which actually had a thermal spring inside.
Then, the man threw the woman into the pool and said in a somewhat annoyed voice, "Wash yourself."
He left Mary alone.
Standing in the warm water, whose height was just enough to cover her breasts, Mary finally could heave a sigh of relief.
Mary had not expected to return to the villa so soon.
Lying in the bed which she had slept on once and curling her body up, she quickly dropped asleep and slept all night soundly.
No man broke into the room in the night.
She woke up early the next morning, got out of bed, and put on the new dress that a maid placed upon the bedstand.
She opened the door and stepped out quietly.
With light footsteps, she walked to the living hall and looked around.
She then noticed Mike, who was sitting on the sofa.
The man had a glass of white wine in his hand, and his appearance was perfect in the woman's eyes, giving off an elegant, noble, and yet standoffish vibe.
The woman suddenly felt uneasy, stood still, and did not even know where to put her hands.
"Mr. Johnson, thank you for helping me." She made a bow and expressed her gratitude sincerely.
Witnessing the woman's nervousness and unease, Mike let out a faint smile.
He then said in a warm voice, "It's time for breakfast, and I'll take you home after that."
At the words, tears instantly began to well up in Mary's pretty eyes. She bit her bottom lips and said in a broken voice, "No one wants me now. I don't have a home, and I don't want to go back to those people."
At the thought of how the Wood Family treated her, Mia felt a sharp soreness in her heart.
