"You are from SS Jewellery?" Bruce goggle at her and walked towards her for several steps uncontrollably, "What's the relationship between you and Doris Curie?"

"She is my aunt." Abby smiled brightly, "Do you know her?"

"Yes." Bruce lost in his thoughts as if he had remembered something.

And he licked his lips and added, "We have met several times."

"'It seems that fate brought SS Jewellery to you." Abby walked towards Daniel with the same smile, "Daniel, am I right?"

But Daniel did not give her an answer. And the cold expression did not change.

"Uncle Bruce, this is our letter of appointment. Hope you can consider it." Abby was accustomed to Daniel's coldness and was not affected. She handed the paper to Bruce and said, "If aunt were still alive, she would be happy to work with you." 

Taylor stood aside and fixed her eyes on the lotus on Abby's dress. There was coldness in her eyes.

Her fingers hidden in her sleeves tightened with the strength which made her nails went pale.

Bruce looked at the paper in front of him and was in a daze.

Suddenly, Bruce raised the corner of his mouth, "What is your favorite jewel?"

Abby was stunned at this abrupt question.

As a P.R. director who was good at flattering the clients, Abby understood immediately that Bruce was testing her.

"Diamond." She answered without thinking twice, "A diamond lasts forever. I believe that every woman in the world wants a unique diamond. And I want the most beautiful and the perfect one, which is just like true love."

As she said so, she glanced at Daniel softly. The affection in her eyes spoke for itself, as well as the shyness.

"What about you? Taylor?" Bruce turned to Taylor.

"Opal." Taylor tightened her lips, "My favorite is opal. Each opal has a unique color. It is like we human beings. Whatever position a man is in, he has his value and beauty."

Bruce looked into Taylor's eyes as if he was looking at another person through her. And there were strange emotions flashing in his eyes.

After a while, he smiled and looked back at Daniel who was stroking the jade stone.

Then, Bruce turned to Abby and said, "You can leave now. I will let my housekeeper call you later."

"Uncle Bruce, for you, SS Jewellery--" Abby tried to say more.

Yet Bruce sat on the rug again, waving his hand with a smile, "Just leave now.

What he meant did not need any explanation.

"Then I am leaving. I will wait for your call." Abby nodded her head to farewell and left.

Even if Abby was not satisfied with this consequence, she would not let Daniel have the expression that she was an unreasonable woman. No matter that expression was about her daily life or her work.

"We are also leaving. Hope to receive your phone call." Taylor said goodbye forwardly.  

And she bowed slightly to Bruce before she left the living room together with Simon.

"What do you think?" Bruce was about to regain the stone he put randomly and asked.

"No regrets." Daniel pushed Bruce's hand back.

"..." Bruce stared at Daniel, "Can you be kind to an old man like me?"

"I can't." Daniel put his stone at the place he had already planned without showing any emotion.

"...We are not friends in the next five seconds!" Bruce was infuriated, "Five, four, three, two, one! You haven't answered me yet. What do you think?"

"Think about what?" Daniel answered and still showed no emotion.

"It is tiring to talk with you! Should I go to SS Jewellery or Happy Summer Jewelry Studio?"

"That's none of my business."

"......" Bruce was gnashing out of anger. And he suddenly grinned as if he found something, "It is said that Abby is your fiancée and you two visited Paris together? So, you cared about her, but you were too shy to show any expression and put on a poker face?"

"Paris is a big city with numerous women. Are they all my fiancée?" Daniel looked at him with an unpleasant expression.

"She is not your fiancée?" Bruce raised his brows, "Then is it true that she has chased after you for seven years? There are also stories on the internet about that she tried to make you her toy boy by giving you a lot of money?"

Daniel's finger, which was holding a stone, paused on hearing those words.

The anger and coldness in his eyes increased as he seemed to think of something,

"You are so angry?" Bruce was not scared of Daniel, but he did know he should not go further.

Bruce stopped joking and continued the origin subject, "Is diamond better? Or is opal better?"

Bruce was saying to himself. However, he heard Daniel answered calmly, "Opal is better."

"Why?"

"It is unique, changeable, complex, and crafty."

"Is that your comment on stones?" Bruce gave a start and raised his brows.

"Or else?" Daniel put down his stone on the board, raised his head, and said calmly, "I win."

"...We should restart the game! My mind is absent this time. It doesn't count." Bruce murmured unwillingly.

When Taylor and Simon stepped out of the yard together, Abby was making a phone call leaning against the door of her car.

When Abby saw them, she hung up the phone and walked in front of Taylor directly in high-heeled shoes.

Abby smiled brightly yet she did not say a word.

"Simon, wait for me twenty meters away." Knowing her meaning, Taylor pushed Simon away slightly.

"Is that a secret talking I should not know?" Simon grinned and blinked.

Taylor just responded to him with a smile.

"All right." Simon touched his nose and walked away staggeringly.

As he walked, he measured the distance with his steps. Finally, he stood just twenty meters away from them.

"Taylor, I did not anticipate that I will meet you here." Abby smiled softly with a loving expression, "So you are working for a studio. Why not come home and work for our family company? It can be hard to work for others."

"It's nice to work in this studio. And I am not troubling myself to change my job." Taylor smiled artlessly.

"Is he your boss? You seem to be—in a good relationship?" Abby blinked at Simon as if she found any secret, "Taylor, you are excellent as before. If you want, all men will fall in love with you with eagerness."
