Chapter 6 Threatening
Robin hurriedly refused, "No, no, I've got everything I need here, and I don't need to buy anything. Take it away! You will need it!"
Zack put the money in Robin's arms and said, "You take it. We have more!"
As Zack walked out, he heard the nanny praise him from behind, "Mr. Field, your son-in-law is so kind to you. You are so lucky to have a beautiful and generous man like him as a family. Your daughter has married a good man!"
Robin chuckled, "Yes, you are right. As long as they live together happily, I will be happy!"
Watching Zack's action and listening to the conversation between her father and the nanny, Dorothy was deeply moved.
The two of them came out and walked to the car. When Zack saw Dorothy, he suddenly became annoyed again.
It was true that he was nice to Robin, but that didn't mean that he liked Robin's daughter!
Thinking that she was his nominal wife now, he was agitated. Especially when he thought of the fact that he might be unable to explain this to Blake when he returned to City B, he was even more depressed!
Zack stopped for a while, his face gloomy again. Then he opened the rear door and said, "Get on!"
Dorothy climbed into the car, and then Zack closed the car door hard. "Bang!" Dorothy shook in shock.
Zack got on the car and drove Dorothy away from City Y to City B.
Along the way, Zack drove silently, staring straight ahead. Dorothy kept peeking at him from behind, and she didn't dare to say anything.
She felt that Zack's temper was so weird that she couldn't understand him at all. He seemed like a very good person when he talked to her father just now, but now he had changed back to the one he was last night, which made her feel scared.
When approaching City B, Zack said to Dorothy, "I don't admit this marriage."
Dorothy looked at him. She knew he didn't like her, but they were already married. Would it work if he didn't admit it?
She whispered, "Aren't we... already married?"
"I still can't admit it even if we are married!" Zack glared at her from the rearview mirror.
Dorothy was silent. Although they were married and even had slept together before that, she couldn't force him if he didn't accept it.
Now that they were far from Zack's parents, no one could support her.
"Then," Dorothy asked after a while, "What shall we... do?"
Zack thought for a while, and said, "You can't let people know that you are my wife. If someone asks you, you can tell them you are my maid."
"Maid?" Dorothy was puzzled.
"Nanny, I mean," Zack replied irritably, "the house worker!"
"Oh."
Zack suddenly felt that this method was good. No one in City B knew that he was married, and no one would believe that his wife was such a rustic woman. So if he introduced her to Blake as a maid, Blake would not doubt him.
Yes, that's exactly what he needed to do.
"Bear this in your mind," he exhorted, "From now on, you will be the maid I hired, not my wife."
Dorothy knew that she could only accept this now. Although she married him, she was not the woman he liked.
Since she had slept with him, it was impossible for her to divorce him. Besides, the most important thing was, if she divorced him, what would her father do?
Thinking about her father's hard work before and what a wonderful house he lived in now, Dorothy felt that she had no choice.
"Okay, I got it."
"Since you are a maid, you have to abide by the rules of a maid. From now on, you can only obey whatever I say, and you can't object."
"Okay!" Dorothy had seen how the housekeeper acted in the White Family. No matter what Mrs. White said, Mrs. Hunter always said "OK" and "OK".
Zack said again, "As for the thing that you are my wife, you are not allowed to tell anyone about this!"
"Okay."
"You'd better imprint it on your brain," Zack said coldly, "If you dare to talk nonsense, I will drive your father away and let him be a beggar on the street!"
Dorothy became unhappy to hear Zack threaten her with this, "I can guarantee my father's life."
"Don't even dream about it!" Zack shouted fiercely, "Although I don't accept this marriage, you are still the daughter-in-law of the White Family. Do you really think that you have the final say on marrying me or divorcing me?"
This marriage was decided by his parents. Since Zack was unable to object them, he naturally did not dare to divorce, so he could only let Dorothy pretend to be a maid by his side so that his parents would not know the truth, and Blake would not find out as well.
Dorothy looked at him blankly. She only married him because he had had sex with her. But why did it sound like that she did something wrong and she was the one to be blamed?
Zack continued, "If you don't want your father to be kicked out, behave yourself!"
Dorothy couldn't help saying, "Your father will not drive my father out."
Zack became very angry, "I am my father's only child. Do you think you, or me, his only child who is supposed to inherit the family line, is more important?"
