Chapter 9 Go to Sleep

Sensing the frosty vibe George was giving off, Abigail felt uneasy.

It was cold.

She shuddered, saying, "I'm full," and then left.

Before Abigail could shut the door to her bedroom, George followed up and entered the room.

Knowing that if she confronted George at this moment, he would take all his fury out on her. Abigail put on a friendly attitude by saying, "Don't worry, I'll talk to Grandpa later."

She, of course, would not stop fighting against living with George under the same roof.

"There is always a way to make Oliver compromise," she thought.

George did not listen to the woman's assurance but glanced around the bedroom. Noticing the picture placed on the dressing table, he furrowed his brows slightly.

There were a boy and a girl in the picture. The girl was Abigail at the age of sixteen or seventeen years old. Her baby-fat face looked as delicate as there was water coming out of it the next moment, and her bright smile was like a blooming flower. There were sparkles in her eyes like stars. Judging from her eyes, one could easily tell how happy she had been while the photo had been taken.

That boy was the eldest son of the Grey Family, Paul Grey.

George took his eyes off the woman's bright, dazzling smile in the photo, and commented, "You look like an idiot in there."

At the same time, he wondered, "How could a scheming woman like Abigail put on such a pure smile?"

Abigail got annoyed and blushed. "Then don't look at it."

How could he say that she looked like an idiot!

George abruptly changed the subject by saying, "You're staying in my room for tonight."

Abigail blurted out without even thinking, "You mean you're going to exchange the bedroom with me?"

At her words, the look in George's eyes darkened slightly. He wondered if the woman was playing dumb with him or she was really that innocent. Then, he said in an unpleasant, cold voice, "If you don't want to come over, that's fine..."

He did not finish his words, and Abigail blinked in confusion. Then, George approached the woman.

For fear that the man would touch her again, Abigail tensed up and watched him warily, but he did nothing, just brushed past her, and walked straight out of the room.

She froze for a second and then ran over to slam the door shut. The loud sound awakened her from the tension in her heart.

The look in George's eyes was so frightening that she thought he was going to tear her to pieces.

In her eyes, George was simply a beast!

...

After a while, Abigail threw George's weird performance behind her mind and went to bed at 9 p.m. as usual.

Fortunately, she still had a nightgown in the bathroom cabinet that had not been packed up and sent away.

After a day of hard work, she felt rather tired and thus fell asleep quickly. She slept so soundly that she did not even notice that George had entered the room until he dragged her up.

After being awakened, Abigail glared at the man, scolding, "George, what's wrong with you?"

George curled up the corner of his mouth, and his eyes were full of disgust while looking up and down at the woman's cartoonish pajamas and messy hair.

Without giving Abigail the right to say no, he lifted the cover and joined her to lie into the bed. "Go to sleep!"

Abigail froze and wondered what was going on.

Again, without waiting for her to figure out what was going on, George wrapped his long arms around her and hugged her body tightly.

She had her back to the man.

With the warm breathing of the man spraying over her neck, a sensitive area of hers, Abigail softened all over and trembled slightly.

She blushed all over and shouted shyly, "George, what are you doing?"

"Go to sleep," George repeated. Abigail's petite figure was tightly held into the man's arms and stuck to his sturdy chest, and the man was surprised to find that her body incredibly soft.

George suddenly felt thirsty, and his breathing became heavier and heavier.
