Chapter 15 What a Silly Woman!

Even though Abigail knew that she was out of danger, she could not stop shivering all over.

"Paul..." With her face pressed against the man's broad, sturdy chest, she nursed a grievance and cried out.

However, it was an unexpected, familiar voice answered her in a mocking tone, "Paul? How come my wife relies on her unrelated brother so much?"

At this moment, the security guards called over by Julia took Jacob away.

George separated the woman from himself rather rudely. Staring at her messy hair and broken blouse, he asked in a harsh voice, "What's your purpose of making that call? To ask for help or to find a person to have a chat?"

It was the woman's blessing that she had called George by mistake and that he was not far away from the company. Otherwise, what would happen to her?

Paul was abroad. What was the point of calling him for help? He was not a superhero, was he?

George thought he had never seen a woman as stupid as Abigail before.

He initially wanted to leave the woman on the spot. However, upon seeing her tugging his clothes with a pitiful look in her eyes, he somehow could not make his mind.

With tears welling up in her eyes, Abigail lifted her head. Seeing that it was George she was embracing, she suddenly withdrew all the grievance inside, and then disappointment occupied her mind.

How come it was him?

She had been utterly muddled. Paul was overseas. Of course, he would not have come here to save her.

Witnessing the disappointment in the woman's face, George felt agitated. Before he could say anything cold or mean, Abigail lifted her hand and slapped him in the face.

"So, what that I rely on my brother?" There were traces of resentment in the woman's eyes, and her body was still shivering violently due to the previous horror.

She awkwardly tried to cover her exposed skin with the shredded clothes. However, all her efforts came in vain. In the man's eyes, however, her bloodshot eyes and helplessness were giving off an extraordinarily aesthetic feeling, and he wanted to grab a bite of her delicious flesh.

"Seeing me like this, aren't you feeling satisfied?"

If George had not intentionally slandered her, how could she have been almost violated?

At the thought of what had happened, Abigail felt she was going to throw up.

There were flames of fury surging up in George's heart. He had just saved the woman, however, she did not thank him but blamed him. He moved his eyes along with the movement of the woman's hand, and his brain suddenly went blank and forgot about taking his anger out.

After slapping the man, Abigail stepped out of the room and slammed the door shut.

The massive sound shocked Julia, who was peeping at what was going on from outside. Before she could hide, Abigail cast a ferocious glance at her and strode away.

Julia shivered all over. The look in Abigail's eyes was as horrifying as that of George when he was furious.

She then stood still, waiting.

After a good while, he called, "Julia."

"President Gates, what can I do for you?" Julia swiftly walked over to the man.

"Let's go."

Back in the house of the Gates Family, the messy appearance of Abigail shocked Mrs. March.

She was black and blue, and her blouse had been torn. Mrs. March hurried to call the family doctor, but Abigail stopped her.

"Madam..."

"Mrs. March. Please don't worry. I am fine." Though those injuries looked scary, they were not severe and would disappear in several days. What she wanted the most was a good rest.

At the thought of her slap in George's face, she could not help but feel scared.

If she were not utterly out of her mind, she would not have hit the cold man.

"Are you sure that you don't want me to tell Old Master?" Mrs. March hoped that Grandfather Oliver could help the woman out.

"I am fine." Shaking her head, Abigail comforted Mrs. March and then went upstairs. After taking a quick shower, she got into bed, feeling exhausted.
