Chapter 26 What's Going On?

Abigail struggled but still could not break away from the man's grip. Helplessly, she tilted her head to one side till George wrapped a clean gauze around her finger and was attempting to tie the knot.

It was probably his first time to do so, and his movements looked a little clumsy.

Abigail pouted her mouth and somehow felt it was funny and somewhat adorable to see President Gates serve her. She then said naughtily, "If you're going to tie a knot, make it a bowknot."

At her words, the man paused his movement for a second. Realizing that she had said something silly, Abigail regretted it, furrowing her brows and biting her bottom lip.

She faked a cough awkwardly, trying to pull her arm back, but the man still refused to let her go. Instead, he was literally trying to tie a bowknot for the woman.

She had never seen George be so focused and tender in front of her.

In the end, the man did tie a bowknot.

He then lifted his head, saying, "Done."

Abigail was speechless.

Her mind went blank, and she temporarily lost her thinking ability. A trace of warmth crossed her heart.

Was she dreaming? Or was she hallucinating after the blood loss?

"Say what you have to say. Don't bother to do all this!" She was loath to admit that she found the man's earlier performance handsome and lovely.

She tried hard to tamp down the emotions surging up in her heart.

George withdrew his tenderness and wanted to say something. Just then, Mrs. March returned with the doctor.

He then forced his words back and moved on one side.

After checking on the wound, the doctor said, "Nothing severe, but you'd better keep the wound from water. Besides, remember to change the medicine once a day."

"Once a day? That won't do!" George, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up, his brows furrowed. "Any other solution?"

At his words, Abigail, Mrs. March, and the doctor all turned to look at him and then stunned. He was not joking.

The doctor answered, "Well, if not change the medicine once a day, the recovery period will be longer."

"I see." George got up and told Mrs. March to lead the doctor out.

Abigail left the man, who seemed to be out of his wits this day, in the living room, and then she went to the kitchen alone.

She would not be able to have Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs tonight, but at least there was some soup and rice.

Mrs. March entered the kitchen, served the soup and rice to the table, and then fried some vegetables for Abigail. Then, Mrs. March left.

While walking towards the dining room, Abigail was surprised to find that George was still in the house. Seeing the man sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed, she was stunned for a second. Then, she got her dinner started without saying a word.

Just as she grabbed one bite of the food, the man walked over her. Abigail thought he wanted to say something. Unexpectedly, the man sat in the chair across from her.

He stared straight at the woman. The imposing vibe he was giving off made it hard for Abigail to ignore his existence.

Abigail cautiously swallowed the food in her mouth and thought about moving to another place to continue eating. At this moment, the man said in a clear voice, "Where is my share?"

The woman widened her eyes in shock. What the hell?

She then tilted her head, raised her brows, revealed a sweet yet cunning smile, and said, "Sorry, sir. I only made dinner for myself. If you're hungry, go make it yourself."
