Chapter 10 Obnoxious Child Bring Bitterness to His Mother

Didn't people gather here for more information?

Attracted by his speech, they stretched out their microphones almost simultaneously despite the fact that he was just a kid.

"May I ask if Mr. Roger is preparing to get married?"

"Little guy, are you supportive of Miss Jenny Lane to become your stepmother?"

"May I ask how the marriage between Mr. Roger and Miss Lane is going?"

"Do you know the exact wedding date?"

"May I ask..."

Grayson unhurriedly adjusted his collar, showing his even teeth and two pretty dimples, "Don't rush, one after another. Yes, my daddy is going to get married, and Jenny will be my mommy!"

At the point, Sean hadn't officially met with the reporters yet and just saw Jenny in another office.

Just then, Donny rushed in, "Sir, sir, bad news..."

Sean frowned slightly and looked over.

Out of breath, Donny could hardly make his speech clear but soon got the remote control. On the big screen in the office then showed what was happening in the reception room.

Standing there in a daze, she looked at Grayson. Dressed in a small suit, the kid was sitting on a table answering questions. His serious look resembled that of Sean, and he already began to display his air at such a young age.

Only what was he talking about?

He happily spoke through the microphone. His voice might be immature, but his speech was logical, "I like my new mommy very much. She treats me well and matches my daddy. I really like her! As for the wedding between my daddy and mommy... Certainly, they'll soon get married, and I will be the flower boy!"

Mischievous!

Argh, now she was going to make it clear with Sean!

The kid was so little, and there were so many people. What if anything happened to him?

Sean pulled her and walked hurriedly, "Go, to the reception room."

In a hurry, she followed Sean to the reception room. As soon as they got in, the voices all died away, probably because of Sean's awful air. Grayson looked back and shouted happily, "Daddy, mommy!"

Jenny's face instantly went black with anger.

In the presence of... all the reporters and many world-famous media, she wouldn't even want to think about the headlines tomorrow!

Sean pulled her to walk up, and the kid suddenly shouted through the microphone, "Daddy, you haven't proposed!"

P... propose?

Jenny was struck dumb. This obnoxious child really brought bitterness to his mother!

Even Sean probably couldn't deal with such a situation.

She stood there awkwardly and warned him with lip language, "Don't talk nonsense!"

The little one blinked at her, and Sean gave a meaningful smile.

Outside the room, Donny was so shocked that his jaw almost dropped.

Their Mr. Roger hadn't smiled for a long time. He almost forgot the man had that facial expression!

The smile at the moment looked so congruous with his face.

Sean suddenly reached out an arm, threw it around her shoulder, slowly slid down her arm and grabbed her hand.

Jenny wanted to tactfully shake his hand off, but... failed.

His hand seemed to be glued to her wrist. Besides, there were so cameras snapping shots of her. How would she dare to use too much strength!

If she did that, the media might make a scene, and his reputation would be damaged. How would she wind it up?

Jenny lowered her voice, "Mr. Roger, I have something really important to tell you. Could you..."

Sean remained composed and replied blandly, "Later."

"But I..."

Sean stressed his tone, "Later!"

Jenny had to zip her mouth as she didn't want to piss Sean. It wouldn't do her any good.

Holding Jenny's hand, he talked naturally and fluently, "Thanks for the attention, everyone. I've been waiting for her for years. Now she finally finished her study and came back. It's about time. The wedding date will be the 20th of this month."

Years?

He was lying through his teeth!

Before this meeting, they just made two phone calls and talked no more than 20 sentences!

His words aroused a round of screams. A few female reporters got emotional, "Wow, Mr. Roger is such a rare, faithful man!"

"Gosh, waiting for her for years. Miss Lane must have saved the galaxy in her last life!"

Jenny was very embarrassed and had to secretly tug at Sean's sleeve. The man, however, gave no response as if he didn't feel it at all.

Jenny was all hopeless.

Sean suddenly turned back and looked closely at Jenny. His gaze sent a shiver down her spine, and she felt ill at ease to the point that she didn't notice him taking out of something from his pocket.

There came another round of screams. Not until her finger seemed to be hooped by something, she didn't come to her senses and lower her head. Unexpectedly, it was a beautiful, large, pink diamond ring!

"Wow, so big, he deserves to be the richest man. It should be five carats, right?"

"Pink diamond, invaluable, and Mr. Roger puts it on her in person. She is blessed and enviable!"

"Gosh, I'm willing to die in exchange for such treatment from Mr. Roger for one day!"

Was he well prepared?

Jenny was all desperate as she knew the power of media and public opinion. At a glance at the logos on the microphones, she knew those were top news media across the country. If she dared to reject Sean and draw a line with him in the presence of those people, the man probably would kill her on the spot.

After a moment of daze, Jenny hid her hand behind her back and involuntarily tried to take it off.

But the ring seemed to be tailor-made. After it was put on, it glued to her finger, and she couldn't take it off anytime soon.

Grayson led the audience to applaud, "Wow, daddy is awesome. Mommy, I love you!"

The reporter also applauded and asked questions frantically, "Miss Lane, can you tell us how you feel?"

"Miss Lane, how did you get to know Mr. Roger?"

"Miss Lane..."

Showing an awkward face, Jenny found it hard to deny or lie. The female lawyer known for her eloquence was once again lost for words.

She darted an imploring look at Sean. With a smile, the man slightly moved his hand from her wrist to her waist, a more intimate move.

"Sorry, my wife is a bit shy."

Hell shy!

Jenny suppressed the urge to beat him up and forced a smile more bitter than crying.
