Chapter 12 Better Identifying Its Master before Beating a Dog

Zack further tightened his grip on the phone, and the anger on his handsome face gradually dissipated.

Did he care about Renee?

No!

No way!

It was just one day!

He admitted that he liked the smell from her body and liked to kiss her... That was all.

Today he stood up for Renee... just because...

He was Zack Wright!

No one dared to get his hands on his property! No one dared to bully his woman! And he was the only one who could bully her!

Whoever dared to do it on his behalf, he would kill him!

Better identifying its master before beating a dog!

If they bullied Renee, they were bullying him!

Yes, this was the reason!

This was why he was so mad.

...

In the bedroom,

Renee shivered with the sound of the slammed door.

She was still suffering from the aftershock when she lowered her head to look at the broken pieces of the phone.

Did... Zack really take her as his woman?

That was why he was so protective of her?

Renee slowly squatted with her arms clasping around her knees.

No!

She didn't need Zack to stand up for her.

Neither did she want to become his woman.

She was still waiting for Frank.

She was waiting for that handsome boy. When she was ten years old, he stood beside the blooming irises.

The boy stretched out his hand and told her, "Nene, when you grow up, how about I marry you?"

Frank was the man in her heart.

No!

She must escape.

At that, she quickly grabbed her haversack and trotted out of the bedroom.

It was an advantage that Zack allowed her to walk freely.

She could run away.

She would succeed.

Although her steps were slow, she was anxious inside.

She didn't want the servants in the villa to notice anything wrong with her.

Renee walked across the long and ornate hallway before going along the spiral staircase to the hall on the first floor.

Her heart thumping like a drum, she walked out at a steady pace.

No one called her.

No one stopped her.

Great.

Renee walked out of the hall and kept on walking forward.

The further she walked, the more excited she became.

But as she walked, she found something wrong.

Gosh!

How large was this place?

She had been walking for over half an hour but still hadn't seen the end.

There were countless gardens, large and small. The flowers were fragrant, and the trees shaded the streets. The scenery in the villa was exceptionally beautiful.

But Renee was not in a mood for sight-seeing.

She needed to escape.

The entire S City was under Zack's control, but it was okay.

She could leave S City and avoid the trouble.

She could go to W City and wait for Frank there.

Renee grasped the thin strap of her haversack. Her palms were wet with a fine sweat. Her white dress was stained by green leaves and grass sap.

Ignorance of the terrain, Renee kept on walking forward.

Tortured by Zack last night and this morning, her legs were weak. After a long walk, her legs felt more uncomfortable.

When Renee was about to give up, there was something shiny ahead.

A glimmer of a smile appeared on her innocent cheeks, and she rushed ahead.

When she ran closer, she slumped to the ground.

It turned out... turned out to be a glistening river.

The golden sunlight sprinkled on the surface of the river, and it shimmered from the distance.

Her last hope dashed.

Across the river, countless tall trees spread to who knew where.

This place... was much bigger than she had imagined.

This... this was the reason why Zack allowed her to walk freely.

Because he was sure that she couldn't escape.
