Chapter 13 Love at First Sight
Renee's clear eyes went dim, her face looked dull, and she bit her blanched lips.
What should she do?
Why did she knock on the car window of a demon last night?
Renee felt desperate.
She quietly got up, walked to the river, sat on the bank, took off her shoes, and paddled her feet haphazardly in the river.
What now?
What should she do?
Renee hung her head and felt more upset to see the disturbed water under her feet.
...
With a sullen face, Zack came down the ornate spiral staircase and looked at Carson, "Where is she?"
Carson had been serving Zack for years and certainly knew whom he was talking about.
"Going out." Carson slightly bowed his head.
Bang!
Zack kicked over a tea table, and the fruits on it rolled all over the floor.
"Tell her to move her ass back now!" Zack roared grumpily!
"Yes, yes, sir!" Carson hurriedly turned to look for the woman.
Irritated, Zack pulled open a button of his white shirt.
He went back to the study as luxurious as a large library. While he was holding the files to sign, the innocent and charming face of that woman kept popping up in his mind.
He grabbed the folder and threw it at a wine rack on the right.
Following a bang, several bottles of wine shattered. The liquid flowed all over the carpet and stained the files.
The mellow aroma of the wine permeated the place.
Zack became more and more irritated!
What was going on with him?
Seeing that Renee was bullied, he stood up for her. Now because of her, he couldn't buckle down to read the files.
He just knew her for less than 24 hours!
Did he fall in love with her at first sight?
Hell no!
Zack was antsy.
He grabbed the phone and called Carson, "What are you good for? Why hasn't the woman still shown up? I'll give you another ten minutes. If she is not here by then, you don't need to come back again! Get the hell out with her!"
Bang!
He grumpily pulled off the phone from the wire and smashed it on the carpet.
When Renee got in, she was amazed by the luxurious study and frightened by the mess all over the floor as well as the aroma of the wine.
Was the man trying the tear the study down?
Zack looked at the expensive watch on his wrist and tapped it with his slender finger, "Nine minutes and fifty-eight seconds! Quite punctual!"
... Carson hurriedly bowed his head, showing his gray hair to the man.
He hoped Zack would not scold him too harshly given his old age.
"You, come here!" Zack pointed at the dazed Renee.
Grudgingly she walked over.
Behind her, Carson frowned.
Renee was sitting on the riverbank. Her white dress was stained by mud and grass sap. Although not suffering from mysophobia, Carson still found it uncomfortable.
When it came to Zack...
Carson hurriedly turned to flee.
"Where did you go?" Zack slightly lifted his arrogant chin.
"... Just wandering around." With her clear eyes, Renee glanced around the messy room.
The reason why she came over obediently was that she suspected the man had propensities for violence. He must have.
If she didn't obey, would he beat her?
"Come and entertain me!" Zack fixed his deep eyes on her innocent face.
"Huh?" Renee immediately widened her eyes.
