Chapter 3 Please Save My Daughter

Witnessing the farce, some of those guests felt curious and confused, and some were amused. Most of them thought that the woman was a former girlfriend of Leon.

"Wait a second."

Just as Sophia was about to be dragged out of the hall, Leon's mellow, authoritative voice sounded.

The bodyguards had to pull Sophia back.

Seeing that the situation had changed, Sophia hurried to take the chance and stared at Leon unblinkingly. "Mr. Scott, I have something to talk to you. Please give me ten minutes."

Once again, she put her dignity behind and implored, "Please, sir."

Things were getting more and more interesting, and the crowd simply could not take their eyes off the scene.

Leon shrugged off his future bride, who was leaning on him, and walked unhurriedly over to Sophia.

Sophia watched him approaching in silence. As the man was getting closer, she found his appearance even more stunning and brilliant than that in his pictures on those magazines she had read before.

"Mr. Scott."

Leon raised his hand slightly, signaling the bodyguards to let the woman go, and then, to everyone's amazement, pulled Sophia into his arms and kissed her on the lips without saying a word.

"Ah..."

Sophia's eyes widened open in surprise, and her entire body went rigid. After being petrified like a statue for several seconds, she came to her senses and tried to get the man off her body. However, his embrace was so tight and forceful that she could not break free.

The man forced her lips open with his tongue, sweeping her sweetness in the mouth wildly. She frowned but dared not glare at him as she had to ask him for a favor.

Oliver Ford, the electronics tycoon, was livid and slapped the table in a rage.

Leon's actions were like a slap in the face to him and to his cherished daughter, bringing the Lord Family into disrepute.

After a while, Leon eventually let go of Sophia. Due to the kissing, Sophia softened all over. She leaned against the man's chest so that she could stand still. From the viewpoint of those onlookers, they looked like a lovestruck couple.

"I know you don't want me to get engaged. Let's talk about it when we get home."

The man's mellow, sexy voice rang in her ears as Sophia looked up to find Leon looking at her. There was no emotional fluctuation in his eyes.

"What?"

What did his words mean? Since when did she not want him to get engaged? She came here to make a scene not for stopping him from getting engaged.

People around gasped in shock. Some journalists took out their cameras to shoot Leon and Sophia.

Wearing a confused expression, Sophia was stunned.

Oliver grabbed his daughter by the arm, pointing his finger at Leon, and eventually left with a snort.

...

In a vehicle with closed windows, Sophia rubbed her hands awkwardly and cast a glance at the silent man sitting next to her.

After a good while, she took a deep breath and finally said, "Mr. Scott, I..."

Before she could finish her sentence, however, Leon interrupted her by saying, "You acted well."

"Huh?"

Acted well?

Sophia realized that the man must have misunderstood something and explained, "I was not acting. Mr. Scott..."

"Stop the car." Leon ordered the driver, interrupting the woman again, then turned his head to look at her and motioned for her to get out of the car. "Your mission is finished. Get out."

Sophia, in a rush, pulled on his arm, saying, "I don't know what mission you're talking about. Mr. Scott, please hear me out."

Leon shot a cold glance at the woman's hand, which was grabbing his arm, and shook it off hard.

"Drag the woman out."

At his words, the bodyguard in the passenger seat immediately got out of the car, opened the backseat door, and dragged Sophia outside.

Sophia grabbed the car door desperately, begging, "Mr. Scott, please, save my daughter. Save my daughter."
