I was staring at my mirror, yelling at myself, "everyone hates you! Because you are freaking ugly! You will never get out of that house. You will be imprisoned here forever. Look at yourself. You will never find love. No one ever.” I smashed the mirror with my hands.

My father, the Beta Franco, heard that, and he barged into the room immediately, watching my hand bleeding, "sweetheart! What happened?”

I sighed, depressed, "nothing, father! But why do you keep mirrors in my room! I don't see mirrors ever in the whole house! I hate how I look! I hate myself. I want to die.”

My father pulled me into a fatherly hug, and I swear I saw the tears in his eyes. But he did his best to act strongly "you are my baby girl, you are beautiful.”

I laughed hysterically, scoffing, "Be honest with yourself, father! Look at my ugly bruised face, the burns everywhere! I look like a beast.”

He cupped my face and moved his fingers softly "you are not a beast! It was an accident, and you should be adapted and get used to that.”

I nodded my head, "yes, get used to being ugly because I was just ten and didn't shift yet so my body couldn't heal the scars! So now you are asking me after ten years of suffering to be adapted to live like a monster forever?” I wondered. How could he really say these words to me? I wish I could kill myself and end all that shit.

"That was In the past! And besides, you are twenty years old now and….” he was saying something, but I couldn't hear. His consolation couldn't cure the pain in my chest for ten years.

I haven't been able to play or have friends or educated in the royal school because of that. I was like a prisoner living and doing everything behind these huge walls.

"Did you know that the son of our maid Melissa freaked out when the veil dropped off my face! Do you know how much it hurts!” I angrily said.

He patted my cheeks "everything will be good now…. Your mating ceremony is tonight.”

He walked away to the door, I raised my brows and stammered "What do you mean?”

He gestured to the maids to go inside my room, and I spotted a royal wedding dress in their hands and more stuff "father! What's going on?”

"You will be mated tonight too… Alpha Kane! Get ready!” he informed me and left the room.

What! Alpha Kane! The one who was responsible for my suffering for ten years?! But how and why!?
